Mr. and Mrs. William Tater, 185 Grange Avenue, celebrated their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary at a family dinner at the home of his brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. T. Caplan, 576 Delaware Avenue. Present were the children of Mr. and Mrs. W. Tater; Mr. and Mrs. Murray Tater, Misses Florence and Arlene Tater, and Harold Tater; also Miss Lottie Cohen, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Tater, Mr. and Mrs. E. Rosen, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Kupsov, Mr. and Mrs. L. Goldblatt, Mr. and Mrs. J. Litvak, and Murray Mud-rik. Mrs. Tater wore a black silk print dress, fashioned with high neckline, and three-quarter-length sleeves, and straight skirt, with corsage of twenty-five yellow roses. Vari-coloured spring flowers and lighted pink candles composed the table adornment.
Miss Shirley Cott, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. I. Cott, 414 Manning Avenue, and fiancee of Sol. Black-man, son of Mr. and Mrs. M. Black-man, was entertained at a luncheon at Murray House, by the groom-elect's mother, Mrs. M. Blackmun. Receiving sixty-five guests, Mrs. Blackmail wore a navy-blue faille dress, having a white pique collar, short sleeves, and straight skirt, with corsage of pi'nk roses. Mrs. Cott was in a dark green crepe dress, designed with a V-neckline, short sleeves, and draped skirt, with corsage of Tea roses. The honoree, in light green taffeta print, fashioned with V-neckline, lapel effect, cap sleeves, and full skirt, had a corsage of yellow roses. Mrs. H. Patt, of Hamilton, was a guest. Vari-coloured spring flowers, and white lighted tapers composed the table adornment. Miss Cott and Mr. Blackman will be married September 3, at Murray House.
Miss Shirlee June Labow, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Labow, 592 Christie Street, whose marriage to Donald Karl Sappell, son of Mrs. Anna Sappell, of Los Angeles, Calif., takes place on Sunday, June 11, at McCaul Street Synagogue, was entertained at a tea by her mother, one hundred and twenty-five guests being present. Mrs. Labow wore a lime-green and toast-coloured two-piece pure silk print dress, designed with roll collar, long sleeves, and straight skirt, with corsage of white gardenias, against green feathers. The honpuree wore a powder-blue sUatfless dress, fashioned with lace bodice, and. .crepe-Jildrt draped across the hipline, and falling into soft folds at the back, with matching bolero jacket, haying a mandarin neckline, three-quarter-length sleeves, and corsage of pink and red roses, on pale blue feathers. Those assisting were: Mesdames Terry O'Donnell, Perry Labow, Jack Labow, Cole-man Herman, Hy. Sher, Morris Herman, David Ruby, Lawrence Fine, Earl Balabar,, Philip Bala-Ban, and Miss Shirley Daniels. Those who poured were: Mesdames Alec Rose, Rose Stem, Louis Stern, Samuel Balaban, Vera Daniels, Leon Stein, Murray Thomas, and Ben. Liebman. White carnations, snapdragons, and sweetpeas, with white lighted tapers, made up the all-white and silver table centrepiece.
Miss Sylvia Rubinoff, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. Rubinoff, 22 Castle Knock Road, whose mar-riatje to Irving Kraft, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Kraft, 34 Ulster Street, takes place on September 24, at Bais Yehudah Synagogue, was honoured at a miscellaneous shower at Murray House, by the groom-elect's mother,Mrs. A.Kraft. There were one hundred guests. Mrs. A. Kraft wore a black crepe dress, having a high neckline, trimmed with silver beading, short sleeves, and draped skirt, with corsage of white arid pink roses. Mrs. H. Rubinoff wore a black crepe dress, with square neckline, trimmed with black lace on shell-pink nylon, cap sleeves, and straight skirt, with draped effect; and corsage of pink roses. Also assisting were: Mrs. A. Unterman, grandmother of the bride-elect, wearing a grey gabardine softly tailored suit, with corsage of pink roses; Mrs. P. Kraft, grandmother of the groom-elect, in a black crepe dress, with high neckline, long sleeves, and straight skirt, with corsage of pink roses; and Miss Shirley Kraft, sister of the groom-elect, wearing a black net and satin dress, designed with high neckline, inset yoke of lace, short sleeves, arxi full skirt, with cor-?afre of white roses. Mrs. M. Lyons, aunt of the groom-elect, wore a red and white silk dress, having a straight skirt, with matching three-quarter-length sleeved bolero jacket, and corsage of pink roses. The hon-orce wore a bronze iridescent taffeta dress, fashioned with low neckline, and three-quarter-length sleeves and full skirt, having two large patch pockets, with corsage of yellow roses.
