The marriage of Lillian, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Firetag, 7 Irene Avenue, to Bernard Braham, of London, England, took place on May 28, at eight o'clock, at Adath Israel Synagogue, with Rabbi G. Felder officiating. The bride was given in marriage by her parents. She wore a gown of white satin having a lace inset yoke, long sleeves, a'nd princess line skirt, with insets of lace to the hemline. Her fingertip tulle illusion veil was caught to a crown of carved roses and she carried a bouquet of Calla lilies. Mrs. M. Naster, sister of the bride, was matron of honour, in an afternoon (iress of toast-coloured faille, designed with high neckline, short sleeves, matching gloves, and full skirt, with headpiece of toast-coloured veiling, and a cascade of red roses. Morry Naster was best man. Mrs. Benjamin Firetag wore a grey crepe dress having a high neckline, and full skirt, with matching bolero jacket, and corsage of red roses. Mrs. S. Lindsay assisted, wearing a cocoa-brown afternoon dress of crepe with lace trimming, and a high neckline, short sleeves, and full skirt, with corsage- of yollow roses. For the trip to New York, the bride wore a black softly tailored gabardine suit, with black accessories, and coinage of while roses. They are residing at 167 Beatrice Street. Out-of-town guests were: Leon Sufrin and children, Charles and Gertrude, of Rochester, N.Y.; and Mrs. H. Levitch, of Buffalo, N.Y.; Mrs. C. Leftcourt, of Miami, Florida; Mrs. T. Rachwal, of Dearborn, Mich.

For the motor trip to Miami Beach, Florida, the bride wore a grey gabardine suit, white hat, navy-blue accessories, and navy-blue coat, with corsage of mauve orchids. They are residing at 227 Vaughan Road. Out-of-town wedding guests were: Mrs. Louis Block, Mrs. Philip Lesser, Samuel Walitzer, Mr. and Mrs. VVilliam Walitzer, all of New York; Mrs. Samuel Croll, of Detroit, Mich.; Mr. and Mrs. L. Adelman, of Windsor; and Mr. and Mrs. S. Flax, of Buffalo, N.Y.

The marriage of Joyce Phyllis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Papernick, 4-1 Austin Terrace, to Harvey Lawronce Adelman, son of Mr, and Mrs. Philip S. Adelman, 258 Glcnholme Avenue, took place on Tuesday, May 30, at half-past seven o'clock, at Shaarei Shomayim SynagQ.uue, with Kabbi Judah Wasiier officiating, assisted by Cantor A. Steinberg. The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a white gown, designed with round neckline of lace, long pointed lace sleeves, fitted bodice, and bouffant skirt, extending into a long flowing train, appliqued with matching lace. Her full-length tulle illusion veil was held by a hand-made coronet of lace petals, edged with cut beads, and she carried a cascade bouquet of four orchids and stephanotis. Miss Sheilah Papernick, sister of the bride, was maid of honour, wearing an off-the-shoulder gown of aquamarine-blue faille and met, with full skirt, matching large picture hat, and cascade of Sweetheart roses and sweetpeas. Susan Wadlinger was flower girl, in a peach-colored taffeta dress, with low neckline, puffed sleeves, matching gloves, and full skirt, also a halo of fresh flowers, and nosegay of Sweetheart roses. DEATHS
Mrs. Alta Hurovitz, 852 Dun-das Street West, died on June 22, at the age of sixty-nine. She is survived by her husband, Harry; one son, Harry Jr., St. Clair Avenue West; three daughters, Mrs. J. Fromkin (Sara), of Miami, Florida; Misses Florence and Mary' Hurovitz, Markham Street; two grandchildren, Arlene Carol, and Ava Linda Fromkin. She was a member of Labovitzer Ladies Auxiliary. Funeral services took place from the United Hebrew Funeral Parlour. Burial was in Dawes Road cemetery. Shiva at home.
Mrs. Anne Isenberg, 141 Dover-court Road, died on June 20, at the age of forty-three. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. C. Stekcl (Selma), Robina Avenue; Mrs. I. Lambersky (Marcia), Markham Street; two grandchildren, Nina and Sari Stekel; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. Sher, Dovercourt Road; three brothers, Louis Sher, Beatrice Street; Bernard Sher, Briar Hill Road; Hyman Sher, Coldstream Avenue; two sisters; Mrs. R. Kodak (Helen), University Avenue; Mrs. J. Harry Lax, 311 Markham Street, died on June 23, at the age of sixty-seven. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Esther Lax; one daughter Mrs. B. Weisberg (Anne), Markham Street; four grandchildren: Grace, Lila, Cheryl, and Albert Weisberg. He was a member of the Driltzer Benevolent Society. Rabbi I. Aronoff conducted funeral services. Burial was in Dawes Road cemetery. Shiva at home.
