Hyman Bley, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. Cohen, 4615 Ridgevale Avenue, is leaving shortly to study at the Juilliard School of Music in New York.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Charles Coppel, of Belleville, Ont., were in Montreal after returning from a trip to Williamsburg, Va., and Washington, D.C. Mrs. Coppel was formerly Miss Joyce Lucille Vine-berg, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Vineberg, of Hamilton, Ont.
Mr. and Mrs. G. Maass, Cham-plain Boulevard, returned home after spending three months in Europe.
Mrs. Harry Wolfe and daughter, Miss Roslyn Wolfe, Vendome Avenue, are motoring to New York, and Baltimore, Maryland, where they will visit Dr. Irwin B. Glickman, fiancee of Miss Wolfe.
Mr. and Mrs. J. Rubinstein and daughter, Carol, Fulton Avenue, returned home after spending the summer in St. Donat.
Mrs. David Cummings, Snowdon Avenue, was at Digby Pines, Nova Scotia, for the season.

Miss Eva Rost and Mrs. William Carin, Westbury Avenue, left on a motor trip to New York.
Mr. and Mrs. M. Gordon Silcove, Victoria Avenue, returned from Lake Placid, N.Y.
Mr. and Mrs. H. Feldman, St. Sulpice Road, were in Boston, Mass.
Mr. and Mrs. S. S. Lerner, 5210 Victoria Avenue, are leaving shortly to take up permanent residence at 1458 Avenue Road, Toronto, Ontario.
Mrs. Belle Ellison, Landsdowne Avenue, visited her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Ellison, of Vancouver, B.C.
Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Lewinson, Sherbrooke Street West, returned home after spending the season in St. Donat.
Mrs. R. M. Pierce, Claremont Avenue, and son, Jack Pierce, of Lusk, Wyoming, motored home
from there; and also visited points in South Dakota; Yellowstone Park; and other parts of the United States where Mrs. Pierce, spent six months.
Mrs. Nathan Lande, Drummond Street, spent the summer in Tim-mins, Ontario, visiting Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Brovender.
Dr. and Mrs. Morris Lieff and children, Beryl Ellen and Jonathan David, of Newark, N J., visited her parents, Lyon W. Jacobs, K.C., and Mrs. Jacobs, Cote des Neiges Road.
Mr. and Mrs. Howard Lewinson, Sherbrooke Street West, spent the summer at St. Donat.
Miss Sylvia Neiman, Westmount Boulevard, is leaving for a ten-day trip to New York.
Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Becker and daughter, Freema, formerly of 4093 Esplanade Avenue, are taking up new residence at 5365 Victoria Avenue.
Samuel S. Cohen, St. Catherine Road, superintendent of the Jewish General Hospital, is at the American Hospital Association convention in Atlantic City, N.J.

Mrs. S. Dalfen, Davaar Avenue, spent a month in Detroit, Mich., visiting her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Max Charness; and then joined her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. A. Raider, Snowdon Avenue, at her home in Ste. Agathe.
Mr. and Mrs. J. Cohen, Dollard Avenue, spent two weeks in Atlantic City, NJ.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Zuckennan and son, Mark David, of Far Rockaway, N.Y., were visiting Mrs. D. Bergman, Rockland Avenue, for the High Holidays.
Mr. and Mrs. B. Bookman, Edward Charles Avenue, had as their guests for several months, their nephews, Lionel and Ronald Coo-pennan, sons of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Coo per man, of Los Angeles, Calif.

.Roger Lftwrepce Popligen son of Mr. and Mrs. Alexander l\ Popli-ger, 5080 Glencairn Road, will be called to the Reading of the Law at Shaar Hashomayim Synagogue on Saturday, September 23, at nine o'clock. He is the -brother of Steven Murray; grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Jules Albright, Dornal Avenue; and of Mr. and Mrs. Philippe Popli-ger, Hampton Avenue. A reception will take place on the same evening in the synagogue hall.
Irving Mondachein, one of the greatest all-around athletes in American history, has been named as track and field coach of the team which will represent the U.S. in the Third World iMaccabiah Games in Israel, September 27 through October 8.
