SALMON OH TUNA FISH SALAD
one heaping tablespoon one heaping tablespoon
chopped green pepper mayonnaise
one heaping tablespoon one heaping tablespoon
mixed sweet pickle relish sour cream
one cup flaked fish
Combine all ingredients lightly with two forks.

APPLE PUDDING
one cup sugar
two teaspoons baking
powder
one-quarter teaspoon salt lemon juice (about two
tablespoons)
three pounds tart apples
three eggs
one-half cup oil
one heaping teaspoon
cinnamon two cups flour
Peel and cut apples in small pieces. Beat eggs, add sugar and pour over apples. Add oil and lemon juice and work in well. Then sift salt, -flour and baking powder, and blend with apple mixture. Stir well for a few minutes. Pour into greased dish and bake in moderate oven about one hour or until lightly browned. This is best served warm.

Twelve Sifrei Torah (Scrolls of the Law), which formerly belonged to synagogues in Germany destroyed by the Nazis, are being sent by the National Jewish Welfare Board's Division of Religious Activities to Jewish chaplains for use at religious services. at military installations tn the U. S. The Scrolls were turned over to JWB by the American Joint Distribu-
tion Committee. The first of the Scrolls went to Chaplain Harry Schreiner, who had been sent from Fort Benning-by the U. S. Army
authorities to acquire one for the post. The 12 "rescued" Sifrei Torah had been- kept in the Paris office of JDC as part of a stock of Scrolls that had been unidentifiable.
