The Beth Tikvah Synagogfue Players will be performing their annual Purim Shpeil, this year
titled Tlic Megillah According to the Beatles, following the Megillah reading March 20.
Now in its third year, the cast of the play, made up of Beth Tikvah members aged five to 65, will tell the story of Queen Esther, King Ahasuerus, Mordechai and Haman with a comical twist and to the tunes of several classic Beatles songs.
The play, which had been directed by Joan Cohen for the past two years, is directed this year by former cast member Marilyn Berger with help from musical director Marshall Berger and producer Temma Belfcr.
The entire community is invited to attend the reading and enjoy the performance. The service begins at 6:30 p.m. and admission is by donation to the Kosher Food Bank. For more information call 271-6262.

The Isaac Waldman Jewish Public Library has special books, CDs and videos to help make Purim special. Between Heaven and Earth is a CD of music for Purim by Andy Slatman. A musical video titled Purim in Story and Song offers another option for the holiday.
The Purim story is told as two young people fly through time to investigate mysterious goings on at the royzd court in The Animated Megillah: A Purim Adventure by Efrayim Sidon.
In (Jahes and Miracles: A Purim Tale, by Barbara Diamond Goldin, a yoimg blind man finds he has special gifts he can use to help his mother during the holiday of Purim. The book features a recipe for hamantashen.
The library also haa a selection of books about all the Jewish holidays. The Waldmcm library is located on the second floor of the JCC and is open Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Wednesdays, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and Sundays 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. □
