Busy season ot Perefi Institute
A busy upcoming season has ' been scheduled for the Vancouver Peretz Institute; There will be two drama workshops -one for adults and the other for 9 to 18 year olds. Forthosepersons seeking exposure to "Mame Loshen," tbree Yiddish classes will be held: two for adults -both beginners and intermediates, and one for-^ the younger set.
. On Sundays threeprograms will nin concurrently from 10 a.m. to noon, geared mainly to 5 to 18 ;year-olds; 'Family Get-Toge-thers,' scheduled one Sunday a monthi will feature singsongs, dancing, films ^nd live entertainment, centred around a Jewish theme.
And for. those persons who simply want to sit back, relax, and absoib; a six-part slide lecture -show tracing Jewish history from its beginning to the present day will be held Friday evenings.

One of the highlights of the forthcoming Annual Fall Brunch of Schara Tzedeck Women's Branch will. be an exhibit of the pottery of Fanny Grubner, formerly of Chile and now a resident of West Vancouver.
Announcement ;Of Mrs. Grub--ner's exhibit; was made*this week by event co'-conveners'.Rosalie Segal and Beta Wolochow. The brunch will V be held at the home of I^eon and Evelyn Kahnjr4194 Wolfe Ave. On Wednesday, Sept. 13, 11:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.
Mrs. Grubner has studied techniques ; ■ used for centuries by Oriental potters whose work^jhas influenced many, of. her pieces. In her: own worksht^ she. creates ceramics using contemporary methods > of workmanship but' clearly showing also-her singular trainii^g in Chile'in the field of !1<S6ld,^ramic.":;frhe";latter field, Uiuque to South ..America, is a highly ?-specialized sculpturing t technique which" Mrs; Grubner learned in university art courses, the brunch conveners noted.,
Her; work was exhibited this-year at the Centennials^Museum ill Vancouver among a- display of -finest pieces iofv pottery .of British Columbia.
^Fanny Grubner studied painting here with Peter Aspell andwas a student in pottery at Capilano College. She: had studied art and ceramics .extensively in Chile, as well as technical studies of antique furniture and methods of rebuilding it. In Argentina she;, took both technical and university courses in Macrame, another of
her specialties.
An original ceramic coffee set created by Mrs. Grubner will be raffied at the Schara 'Tzedeck Women's Branch Fall Brunch.

Harry^^erman, Imig-time Vancouver and Calgary Jewish educator and now a travel, consultant, this weels^ announced the opening date of the new store, situated at 6712 Oak street (next door to Leon's Kosher Korner).
Mr. Sherman stated that a new line of: Jewish New Year and all-occasitm N cards is being
