Mr. Frederick Abraham, of Birmingham, England, who was a recent visitor in Vancouver is now in Singapore. From there he will proceed to the Dutch East Indies, then down to Australia and New Zealand before returning to Vancouver in June. ■■■•■*, * ♦
The marriage of Miss Reitta Rip-stein, eldest daughter of Mt. and Mrs. lyouis Ripstein, to Mr. Marcus Harris Neubauer, took place at six o'clock Tuesday evening, March 18th, at the Mount Royal Hotel, Montreal. Mr., and Mrs. Neubauer will travel to Gali-fornia on their honeymoon, where the Bride's grandmother, Mrs. Rachel Goldbloom, is now residing.

In honor of Miss Jeannette Fueberg, who is a visitor from Portland, Ore Miss Anne Goodman entertainer number of her friends at a delightful party at her home on lOth Avenue on Tuesday, March 18th. The Rachel Goldbloom Chapter of Hadassah entertained at a very delightful luncheon, in the Banquet Hall of the Community Centre, on Wednesday afternoon, March 5th. Hostesses for tlie affair were Mrs. E. R. Sugarman, Mrs. B. Margolius, Miss S. Levin, Mrs. H. Kutchei, Mrs. S. Lechtzier, Mrs. M. Soskin, Mrs. Nace Swartz, Mrs. 'H. Klein, Mrs. H. Lechtzier. Following the Luncheon, Bridge and Mah Jong were enjoyed by the guests.

Councii Inaugurates Drania Classes
An event of great significance in the cultural and social life of the Vancou-v^er Community is the opening, under the able auspices of the Council of Jewish Women's Educational- Department, a series of Drama Classes.
Mrs. M. H. Brotman is one of the committee in charge of this importanl and interesting work. Well known on the local stage, and in stock companies as. Evelyn Goodrich, Mrs. Brotmar.>, formerly Eva Goldbloom, is considered one of the outstanding actresses in the city. She has been an important figure in Little Theatre circles in town, and
recently won favora?)le criticism and praise for her brilliant acting in Ibsen's "Pillars of Society."
Mrs. James Peter Ferguson, well known teacher of dramatic art, and pu|;>lic speaking, has been engaged to take over • the classes, which are open to all young men and women who are interested in acting and in the study of the drama.
It is expected that many will take advantage of the exceptional opportunities offered by the Educational Department of the Council.
Mrs. Harold Bertram Kahn is another of the Council Women who are taking an 'active part in this interesting work. Mrs. Kahn is well known in Council Circles, and attended the recent convention in Los Angeles as delegate from Vancouver, and is an able speaker. Mrs. Kahn is a graduate of the University of Washington, and has had a book published.
The young men and women of this Community should welcome the opportunity to study under such able teachers as those offered by the Council of Jewish Women.

A meeting of the Council of Jewish Women's Dramatic Circle will be held at the Com-munit}^ Centre on Monday, March 24th, when the election of officers will take place. This dramatic Circle under the Auspices of the Council of Jewish Women, Avill be a self-governing group.
At the meeting on Monda}', March 24th, there will be a reading of two plays, and the casting of roles.
Young men and women interested are invited to join the Dramatic Circle.
