The executive has heartily endorsed ' this ^r^bitious project, and any member with musical ability, vocal or instrumental, is invited to join. As the membership for the troupe is limited, Lodge members should communicate with Brother Davis, or Brother E. M. Goldsmith, as early as possible.

Internatipnal Maccabee Sports Meeting Should Encourage
Jewish Athletes
The plan to hold an international meeting of the Maccabee sports clubs of the world at Antwerp, Belgium, next July should be a great incentive for the thousands of Jewish athletes in this country to affiliate themselves with Maccabee units. ^ . Most of the news concerning Jewish athletes, especially amatejur comes from the various colleges. As far as the sports dubs are concerned it will be found that the membership is limited and Jews unless they have made unusual records are not invited to join. All Jewish boys do not go to college and if they have, talent they have a rather difficult time getting ahead. Most of them enter meets unattached, that is without a club label. Some join the Y. M. H. A. and others the Hakoah and Maccabee clubs but until now these organizations- have not taken too active a part in national athletics. It has been difficult to get members as the boys feared they wouldn't get the proper coaching. Such ideas were really based on nothing but a faulty imagination as the Jewish clubs are well organized and finely managed. What they have needed was some outstanding goal to strive for, that would bring the Jewish boys into their ranks. The decision of the Maccabee to hold this match should do the trick. As soon as the boys get wind of a possible trip to Europe they will flock into the Maccabee clubs. How -much more could be done for Jewish athletics if the meet were not limited to only members of Maccabee clubs? If the Y. M. H. A. and Hakoah were allowed to send teams then America would be able to send a really representative body to Belgium.
Basketball, Soccer and Tennis will be among the sports open for competition. -As yet no American organization has expressed a willingness to send a teai;n but I suppose when the financial way is cleared the athletics will find the path easier to Belgium. Anyway, its a great- idea and ought to do Wonders for Jewish sports throughout the world.
The many friends of Mrs. Rose Lancaster will be glad to know that she is now home from the hospital and well on the road to recovery.
