Club Plans Active Year
Under the presidency of Mr. M. H. Brotman the new executive of the Montefiore Concordia Club is making plans for a year of great • activity. This worthwhile organization which has done such a great service to the community in its Boys' work, has already formulated plans for the Annual Boys Camp, which will be located at Fisherman's Cove, West Vancouver. Mr. Harry Boyaner is the Chairman of. the Camp Committee, and will be assisted by Dr. Wm, Morris, Lester Weiiireb, Louis Halperin, Isadore Stein, and Louis Tisman. The Committee will m a k e announcements shortly with regard to registration of boys, and the ppenirxg of the Cam-p.
The weekly noon • luncheons of the Club are held every Friday in the J^ose Room of the Vancouver Hotel. Here the members are afforded an opportunity of listening to speakers of note on varied and interesting sub-
jects. -'The Luncheon feature of the Mdntefiore-Concordia offers its members eclticational opportunities and good fellowship equal to any of the larger service clubs in this city. The prdgr^mme committee to arrange speakers consists of Past President H.:r J.: :Allen, arid Mr. Leo Mahrer, S^^rje^tary of the Club.
|Ai ji^^ last Luncheb held Friday, May 30i:ii, the five Past Presidents of the organization were the„ guest speakers. These were: Dr. Wm. Morris,-Albert Koch> H. J. Allen, W. N. Zimmerman, and E. R. Sugarman.
Immigrant Aid
Society Active
The local office of the Jias of Canada, which operates from Room 16,413 Granville Street, have just finished an active month.
The office was successful of obtaining feight letters of entry for immigrants, and is of great service in giving information' to those desiring to bring out relatives from the old country. The Secretary of the Society in Vancouver, Miss Mary Pastinsky, meets all ships coming from the Orient and Australia, and lends assistance to any Jewish passengers who are desirous of aid.
The names of those who were recently enabled to e n t e r Canada, through the co-operation of this agency, are:

From Europe, Saul Steiman, Saul Golcman, Chaya Etta Fryshman, Isaac Taeir, Yenta Taeir, Bessie Taeir, Pere? Taeif^ Chaya Taeir, Judith Taeir.
The Aid Society is also conducting an active department in connection with securing employment for immigrants, and urges the members of the community to help them in this worthy work.

Master Herbert Fisher Captures B'nai B'ritK Medal
Last Sunday morning marked the closing exercises of the Religious classes conducted throughout the Winter under the auspices of the Vancouver Section, Council of Jewish Women.
Mr. S. A. Goldstori addressed the assemblage explaining what had been accomplished in the various grades and urged greater co-operation On the part of the parents in m.aintaining full attendance every Sunday, and he asked that the period of teaching be extended one half hour to enable better work.
Mrs. Koenigsberg then presented the prizes for each grade. Each prize winner also received a Roll of Honor from the. Council of Jewish Juniors. These were as follows: Class Five—(Senior)
1st. Herbert Fisher; 2nd, Esther vVeston. Teachers: Miss Miriam Goldberg, and Mr. S. A. Goldston.
Class Four. 1st. Bernard Weston; 2nd, Gertrude Rankin. Teacher Miss Anna Chess.
Class Three.
1st. Edgar Grossman; 2nd, Jack Rose. Teacher, Miss Ruth Koenigsberg.
Class Two.
1st. Harry Rankin; 2nd, Harold Kahn. Teacher,, Miss Mary Pastinsky.
Class Une—(Kindergarien)
1st. Gilbert Potter; 2nd, Shirley Cohen. Teacher, Miss Florence Brown.
Miss Marion Orloff acted as substitute teacher throughout the term.
Mr. J. Ablowitz acted as substitute teacher throughout the term. Herbert Fisher, for the highest Proficiency in all the classes and after adjournment treats were served to the children by members of the Junior Council.
