The feature of this week's boWHng was.the low score on the part of the exp^riehced jilayers, as against the marked irnprovement of the newer^ meni-: heH^, the "Imperials," made a wonderful showing
which rnaterialiy helped his team to take the'prize for the high three ganie of .1941 pins, as a result of which, with the approval of the dther tearii members, the Presideiit Cafe prize v/as awarded to hini. The box of cigars which has been awaitirig an owner for several weeks, vy^as at last vvon by Barney Glazer with the splendid score of 201.
We would like to suggest that members of the bowling club who own cars please arrange to pick up other members not so fortunate, and who live in their districts, so that it will assist those members in getting down on time. An act of courtesy such as this vi^ould be appreciated by everyone, and will materially assist in further developing that good fellowship for which the B'nai B'rith Bowling Club is now noted for. ■

Installation of Officers .
If there was anyone sceptical enough to think that the officers of the Synagogue were not popular choice—that doubt would easily, have been dispelled if they had. witnessed the impressive cerenipny; of installation: that took place.,on,=Sunday last, the i9th inst., at the Jewish Community Centre. The large hali; was filled to overcrowding—oyer 250 being seated, in addition to many standing in the ante-room, unable to gain admission. Mr. M: Hyams, the retiring president occupied the chair and opened the meeting by the singing of the "Hatvikah." He then introduced the Installing Officer, the ever ■ popular, Max M. Grossman and his two assistants, Messrs. Norman C. Levin and Norman BrDwn.
In opening the proceedings, Mr. Grossman referred to his previous experience in synagogue matters and the difficulties of those in charge and begged for the whole hearted support of the. newly elected officers. He then called upon Norrrian Brown, Who on behalf of the Congregation presented the retiring pi-eSiderit, Mr. M. Hyanis, with a solid gold.charrii, suitably inscribed, as a mettiento of his year oif office. Following this, Nornikn C: Ivcvin, for the Cohg;regation, presented the i-fetirihg secrfetiry, Mr. G. Cowan, who has held that office for six years, with a handsomely engraved silver ciga:rette calse as" a token of the regard in which he was held by the Gorigre-gation. Both gentlemen suitably responded.
The following officers were then duly installed:
Hon. President, M. Hyams; President, J. B. Jalfe; Vice-President, Chas. Goldberg; 2nd Vice-President (Gabay), Da V i d Morris; Treasurer, Hyman Charkpw; Rec. Secretary/ J. Stobhin-sky; Trustees, J. Reed, H. Brown, S.
Rothstein, D. Sugjarman, H. Kutchei, and H. L. Freedman. . At the conclusion of the ceremony, the Installing • Officer handed the gavel to tije he\v:lyiristalled president, wishing hiin every success during his term of office. Oh taking the chair, amidst prolonged I cheers, Mr. Jaffe gave his presidential address. He outlined the courie of actibh he intended to pursueand appealed for perfect unison amongst me members: He also pointed out that in order to make the Congregation' a successj every Jew in the city should become a merhber of the SynagogU(^, and prpud of the fact of his membership. His iendeavor during his regime; would be to create a _ more united . c6hgregation and also to keep steadfast to the Orthodox faith, for which the Synagogue had been erected. ^ He concluded his speech, paying a glowing tribute to the Work done for the Congregation by the Ladies' Auxiliary. The Rev. Pastinsky then addressed the audience appealing for increased support of the "Talmud Torah.
Musical items were rendered by Minna Stankevitch-Porter and Harry Carf. Refreshments were served, and a memorable evening terminated with the singing of the National Anthem.
