An Opportunity to Assist
Members of the eommunity are called upon so often to make donations and to render assistance to various causes that they welcome the occasional respite between campaigns. They do not object, however, we feel sure, to the opportunity of helping a worthy cause if at the same time they are assured of a pleasurable social evening.
The help that they render personally is only as large as the _price of an admission ticket, but when there are several hundred admission tickets sold the cause is very materially aided. In the case of the affair which is to be held on Saturday night, November 29th, under the joint auspices of the Council of Jewish Women and Council of Jewish Juniors, the Jewish citizens of Vancouver will have a splendid opportunity of doing tlieir share for the Centre, and enjoying themselves at the same time>-/''
' There has already been an enthusiastic response in the ticket sale, and there is every indication of a very large attendance next Saturday night.
Plans are being made for the entertainment, which is to be of particularly high order.
Here is yoUr opportunity to help the Centre. Here is an opportunity to enjoy yourself in the company of your friends and acquaintances. ^Here is an opportunity to do your duty pleasurably.
B'nai B'rith Ladies To Raffle Silver Fox
Mrs. S. A. Nemetz is Convening Sale of Tickets
The B'nai B'rith Ladies' Auxiliary will this year again raffle a beautiful Silver Fox which has been donated to them by Mrs. N. L. Lando, of the Lando Fur Company. ^
Mrs. S. A. Nemetz, who is convening the sale of tickets, has reported that her committee are meeting with hearty response from members of the community. Mrs. Nemetz is be^g assisted by members of the B'nai B'rith Ladies' Executive.
The Ladies' A^uxiliary have been working consistently for the last two years in aid of the Community Centre, in addition to work set by their Grand Lodge. It is expected that the affairs which they will give in the near future will receive the support of the Community, which has come to realize the importance and value of the efforts of this group.
A Chahukah Celebration will be held at the' Community Centre by the Ladies' Auxiliary some time in December, when tne Silver Fox will be raffled.
Watch the "Bulletin" for further announcements of this affair.

Mrs. Wm. Sugarman reported on the success of the Book Review Circle, and expressed her pleasure at the large attendance and the general enthusiasm. She anhouriced that Dr. Dobson, the distinguished psychiatrist and alienist, will lecture to a circle on Child Psychology.

The Educational Department was ably reported on by Mrs. M. M. Grossman, who also mentioned the untiring efforts of Dr. Davies and Mrs. H. J. Allen at the Well-Baby Clinic.
Mrs. Stella Sameth was then called upon and in a gracious and charming manner reviewed the "Maurizius Case" by Jacob Wasserman, the famous German-Jewish author.
"It is a story," she said, "of justice' and injustice. In it the author attempts to show how circumstantial evidence and accidents will tend _ to^ mis-carry justice; how law-^.d justice are often, divorced; and how potentially great careers might be brought ^ to_npthklg7 b y unfortunate coincidence."
It is an attack on justice today, and yet Wasserman is unable to offer any
