Miss Ida Kolberg.

Congratulations are extended to Mr. M. D. Ratner and Mr. H. H. Hersog, who successfully passed their major pharmaceutical examinations.
Welfare Theme Song
How much will you give now
To give us a start? How real your emotion;
How big is your heart?
How many sick there are,
Do you think it's fair? How many are helpless
Without you to care?
How many poor there are,
So many in need? How many will suffer
Awaiting your deed?
And if you do not give-In your home or the mart—
How real your emotion? How big is your heart?

Zeirei Zion Mass Meeting
The date of the Zeirei Zion mass meeting has been changed from Nov. 5 to Saturday evening, Nov. 4, at 8 o'clock.
The meeting will be devoted to a discussion of current Zionist problems and will include a report of the last congress at Prague. The list of speakers includes: Rabbi S. Cass, B. Garber and D. Rome.
Thfi^e&ting ^\SiU,^^ follpyved, by. dancing and refreshments will be served. Admission is free. Zionist and young people interested are particularly invited.
In the Meribolas League last Monday afternoon, Brotman's won Wo from Koch's, Koenigsberg took the odd game from the Herman crew, and the Levin aggregation defeated the Lechtzier team by a similar margin. TlUie Lechtzier copped high aggregate honors by rolling three'nice consistent games for a total of 628, while the high single game honors went to Eva Brotman with a big 237 count in her first game.
In the B'nai B'rith league the Goldberg team took three from Hyams', Manny Goldsmith's quintette shut out the A.Z.A. team in three closely contested games, and the Lechtzier-PIant match was postponed for a few days due to the activities of members of the Plant team in the Federated drive. Sammy Weinberg continued his brilliant shooting by turning in a very nice 549 count, followed by Phil S6r-sky with 539, Manny Goldsmith 519, Dave Franks 516, Aaron Kline 511 and Saul Lechtzier with 509.
Barmitzvah
An interesting event took place at the Schara Tzedeck Synagogue when Master Samuel Rothstein, son of Mr. and Mrs. I. L. Rothstein was Barmitzvah. The Barmitzvah read his Maftir very creditably, also reading a portion of the Law.
Refreshments were served in the Talmud Torah hall after the Services and at which all the congregation attended. On Saturday night the parents were guests to about 60 relatives and intimate friends at their home on 865 West 15th Avenue.
Mr. J. B. jaffe acted as toastmaster. On Sunday, at 2.30, Master Samuel entertained for about 35 young friends and the entire gathering had a good time playing games and consuming delicious refreshments.
Are you straining your eyes for lack of a liUle light?

An interesting addition was made to the B'nai B'rith Lodge of Victoria on Thursday night, October 18, in the persons of Messrs. Lawrence and Edward Mallek, sons of Mr. H, I, Mallek, Past Zone Deputy, Past District Deputy and Past President of Victoria Lodge, The initiation was very ably conducted by the Lodge Initiation team: Bro. Ralph Frompson, President; Bro, Joseph Rose, Monitor; Bro. Platneour, Vice-President; Bro. E, Frompson, Assistant Monitor. An element of special interest was added by the fact that three generations of the family of the new members were present, Mr, and Mrs, H. I. Mallek, parents, and Mrs. K. Levy, their maternal grandmother. It also marked the first time in the history of the local B'nai B'rith that two brothers were initiated at the same time. Later refreshments were served and a very pleasant evening was had by all. Mr, and Mrs. A. Leson of Montreal
were visitors in the City.
