"The Camp of 1934" was the subject under discussion at the opening meeting of the Council, presided over by Mrs. H. B. Kahn.
The usual type of written report was dispensed with, and the various chairmen of the camp committees spoke of this year's achievements. All gave informal little talks on their branch of camp life.
Striking exhibits were on display and the members were greatly interested in the carved miniature ,totem poles and pipes, made by the boys, and the wool-embroidered
Elaborate plans are under way for the celebration of Balfour Day on November 4 by the Lillian Frei-man Chapter of Hadassah. Mrs. Ben Shapiro, president of the newly reorganized Hadassah, announces that the occasion will be marked by a banquet at the Community Centre. In view of the great interest shown in Hadassah and Zionist circles, all interested are urged to purchase tickets for this event, the proceeds of which are to be used in furthering the program of Hadassah in Palestine. Mrs. Wm. Zimmerman, entertainment chairman, is in charge of all plans. Mrs. Norman Brown is in charge of.the program, which promises to be unusual and interesting.
