Lacrosse is back again more popular than ever judging by the crowd that saw the opening game at the Arena last Tuesday night. Richmond beat Home Gas by the score of 13-11. Weinborn, the only Jewish player in B.C. was the outstanding player on the Home Gas team. Games are played at the Arena on Tuesdays and Fridays and in New Westminster on Mondays and Thursdays. Tonight the Indians meet Richmond and on Tuesday Richmond meet the Westminster Salmonbellies.
Lacrosse is a game that has more speed than hockey, more roughness than rugby and more thrills than a horse race.
Montreal is the only city in Canada that can boast of an all Jewish team. Our own little city here has enough material for a good junior team if the boys were not so lazy.
Mr. J. McConaghy, president of the inter-city league assures me that if the Jewish boys want to start a Junior team he will give us all the assistance possible.
Come on, boys, lets show the people that we have a good bunch of sports here. Any boys between the ages of 12 and 22 vjho are interested are asked to phone the Bulletin office and leave their name so we can get started as soon as possible.

events. Jafife did the trick at Lake Placid in 1932 by winning the 5,000 metre race in world's record time and repeating the trick an hour later in the 10,000 metre grind also in record time^ In the finish of the.last race Jaffe gave everything he had in the last 200 yards, fell forty yards from the finish line and slid over the mark on his belly, the winner and new champion.
Moe Goldman, former captain at C.C.N.Y. now is playing with the SPHAS, a Philadelphia all-Jewish quintet. He is slated for top honors this year as the most valuable player for the 1935-36 season.
Jockeys Joe and Sammy Renik, two of the fifteen Jewish Jockeys in the horse racing sport, rode three winners the other day two of them on horses owned and trained by Miss Mabel Hirsch the only Jewish trainer in the world.

"Nix on this German business," said Ralph "as much as I like lacrosse and a trip abroad, the thought of playing in Germany leaves me flat."
Maxie Rosenbloom, is slated for a ring come-back. The recent victory of John Henry Lewis over Jock McAvoy convinces Maxie that he can lick the Bloomin Cockney. Lewis is anxious for another shot at Bob Olin, the Jewish light-heavyweight champ who was dethroned by the colored fighter a year ago.

Lloyd Goldstein, one of two Jewish players named on the American Olympic basketball team, will not go to Germany. His team mate Sammy Baiter who was also picked for the Olympic team will go to Germany.
"While I certainly resent the national policies of the Nazi Government I don't see why I should not take part in the Olympics. I think the most effective way to enforce our side of the argument is to show Herr Hitler that a Jew has as much right to be an athlete as an Aryan or anyone else," said Baiter in an inter-v^iew with a reporter from a Los Angeles paper.
A graduate of the University of California Baiter is a former school teacher. He has been a member of the Universal Pictures basketball team for the lai-1 three years.
Three hundred Jewish phy sicians from all parts of the world and one thousand visitors were present for the opening session. Dr. Weizmann received a tremendous ovation from the audience, which rose to its feet as he entered the meeting hall.
"This Congress is the sym-. bol o£ our reply to the recent events. What they have done is the exposition of the destructive forces of the desert. Here is the force of construction and civilization. This is the ancient war of the desert against human civilization and progress. Our work will be continued despite these events."
Mayor Meier DizengoflF welcomed the delegates and called upon the Jewish community at large to have courage and hope with regard to the present situation in Palestine. ■
There followed reports of the position of Jewish physicians throughout the world. The proposal was made for the establishment of a world centre for Jewish physicians.

SCAPEGOATS OF HATE
(Continued from Page 2) A composite picture of the Catholic presented by his baiter portrays him as sensual, crafty and plotting for power. He wants to abolish the public schools, capture the government, degrade women and children. The title of one published attack in the exhibit and the slogan of anti- Catholicism, is "Three Keys to Hell, or Rum, Romanism and Ruin." On October 27, 1928, H. W. Evans, Imperial Wizard of the KKK, is shown to have warned editors against Governor Smith. The worst he could say about Smith was that he had pardoned hundreds of alien criminals, so that these, becoming American citizens, defeated our immigration and naturalization laws. The Imperial Wizard's official pronouncement on the Jew is also on record in the form of a pamphlet. Impressed, like too many of our own, that the Jew may indeed have come to America early in history, he points him out as a refugee from Catholicism, but one who neither explored, mined, nor cultivated. He always came too late for the creative work.. And the Imperial Wizard puns: the Jew may be called "Klan-nish." He finds it "passing strange" that the Jew in America should be mobilized' with forces hostile to the KKK, when he should find the genius of this organization a guarantee to his own freedom. The question of interests between Jew and Catholic could not have been better raised than hy^ an "Imperial Wizard." ! (To Be Continued Next Week)

representing over one-third of the entire rural Yishub, and over half the number of Jewish settlers deriving their livelihood from agriculture. In the urban regions 130,000 people are resident on Keren Kayemeth land.

VOCATIONAL GUIDANCE
(Continued from Page 1) ed by the situation is tragically illustrated in the German massacres, he observed. Direction for Youth "What then shall we advise our young men and women about to enter medical or law school?" he questioned. "Just this—^'If you feel that no other profession will give you the same degree of satisfaction, if you feel positive that you have the ability necessary for success, if you feel confident you can buck prejudice and intensive competition, then go to it."
"But for the others—they should be directed toward occupations less overcrowded and less liable to excite envy and intolerance which the majority groups have always shown to more successful minorities."
"Farming, right now, is in need of government relief, but here is no industry more basic and none in greater need of science. The Jew would do well o turn from the fields of commerce where he is a middleman, to those of production — of which agriculture and the allied sciences are splendid examples."
"It would be wise for other reasons than personal prosperity. The years immediately to come look to be full of hardship, of experiment, of migra-ion, perhaps of international catastrophes. A knowledge of low to gain a subsistence from ;he soil, the mother of all life, is invaluable to us as a people, as well as to the individual limself. The European Jew las had that lesson burnt in; we in America should stress it with our youth before any emergency rises.
Higher Education "Those who show unusual ability and only those—should be encouraged to enter college. The rest should be persuaded that the expense to their parents and the years they themselves waste is too great a price to pay for a superficial smattering of general culture or a mediocre preparation for one of the so-called learned professions. These others should be encouraged to try for an apprenticeship in some industrial or commercial establishment."
