At a pretty-late afternoon ceremony held Wiedneaday, November 29, at the Schara Tzedecfc Synagogue, Sally, elder daughter of Mrs. Shrlin and the late Mr. H. Sirlin, was united in marriage to Mr. George Roadburg, son of Mr. and Mrs. Si Roadbiurg, Rev. N: M. Pastinsky officiating, assisted by Rev. J. Spiro. V
The bride, who was given in marriage by her uncle, Mr. X Harrison, was a lovely figiure in a quaintly-styled gown of white faille and-lace, with gardenias topping her net veil. Her bouquet was of gardenias and lilies-of-the-valley.
Attending the bride as maid of honor was her sister, Mildred, who wore a dusky pink gown of taffeta with bracelet length sleeves and bustle backi Complimenting her ensemble was a shoulder length fine pale bliie net veil and a colonial bouquet of roses and chrysanthemums.
The bride's other attendants were the Misses Celia Wolman, Lily Pastinsky and Anne Levinson. Their attractive taffeta gowns were of teal blue, mauve and tiu'quoise, respectively, and also featiured the bracelet length sleeves, new girdle waistlines and very fullskirts. Their bouquets were of colonial roses and chrysan-•themums.
Attending the groom was, his brother, Mr. Al Roadburg, while Messrs. Myron Ablowitz, Edward Gross, and Saul Greenberg were the ushers.
Master Irving Sirlin, the bride's smaU brother, dressed in a Little Lord Pauntleroy suit, was ring bearer.
For the occasion, Mrs. H. Sirlin, mother of the bride, chose a model gown of cyclamen purple, complimented with a small hat of matching shade and a corsage of gardenias. Mrs. S. Roadburg, mother of the groom, chose an attractive gown of blue, complimenting this with a small model hat of flowers, and a corsage of gardenias.

For travelling, the bride donned a teal frock with white angora, and a topcoat of wine boucle and Persian lamb with which she wore a matching muff, and harmonizing accessories.
Following a short honeymoon Mr. and Mrs. Roadburg will take up residence in Stanley Park Manor.
Harowitz-Lipson
At a beautiful ceremony in the Schara Tzedeck Synagogue, Bessie, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. Lipson, was united in marriage to Mr. Isa-dore Harowitz, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. Harowitz, Rabbi Samuel Cass officiating.
Given away in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white chiffon gown, a shoulder length white veil held in place by Gardenias and Lilies of the Valley. Her bouquet was of Lilies of the Valley, Gardenias and Rose buds. The maid of honor. Miss Rose Harowitz, sister of the groom, wore a wine chiffon gown with matching veil and flowers. Miss Vera Lipson, Miss Peggy Lipson, sisters of the bride. Miss Faye Harowitz, and Miss Annette Smith, were bridesmaids, and were dressed in full blue chiffon skirts, with pink taffeta border, blue veils on head, held in place by pink rose buds. All carried bouquets of chrysanthemums, rose buds and carnations.
After the ceremony the guests were received at a reception at the home of the bride. Later the bridal couple left for a honeymoon trip on Vancouver Island and Seattle. On returning they will take up residence at 1135 West 14th Ave.
B'nai BVith Auxiliaiy
The B. B. Ladies Auxiliary will hold a social at the Commimity Centre on Sunday evening, December 17. The drawing for the twc and hope chest will take place then, tickets for which have been sold for the past six months, the proceeds to go for the General Hospital and local war charities. Members and friends are urgently requested to attend this affair.
Members who still have raffle books to sell must get in touch with Mrs. S. Nemetz immediately.
The B. B, Juniors and B. B. Auxiliary will hold a Luncheon at David Spencer Limited,. Fourth Floor, at 12.30 p.m. on Monday, December 11. All are invited to attend.

On December 10 the Club will hold a Chanukah Party at the home of Marjorie Shine, 3263 West 10th Avenue. Before the party, at 2.30 pjn., a very short but important business meeting will be held. Plans will be discussed for Judaean Nite to be held some time in February.

Junior B'nai B'rith Auxiliary
The last and most important meeting of the term will take place in a week or so at which our new executive officers will be elected to positions for the new term of 1940. It is important that every member attend and pay up their back dues, as unpaid-up members will not be allowed to be elected to office. The visit of Mrs. B. M. Alexander was an outstanding event, 'and' the meeting was very well attended.
Immigraticn is open, and all those who can get to Palestine are wel-cpmed, as Mrs. Alexander pointed out. VS^e in Hadassah, can make it possible for many persons to live in Palestine.
'Youth Aliyah groups are coming
into the country, and many hundreds aire waiting to enter Palestine, if we make it possible.
'Out Donor's Luncheon will be held the middle of January and total proceeds will again go for Youth Aliyah. B^p in mind the Donor's Luncheon, and raise your money as you see fit.

YOUNG ISRAEL
. We take this opportimity to hiform all Jewish youth of Vancouver of the organization of Young Israel. This club is under the sponsorship of Mr. Sclireiner, principal of Talmud Tor-ah, and Reverend Spiro, and the purpose being to educate the Jewish youth in Jewish customs. ^ This club has adopted a very interesting program. On Saturday mornings, the Jewish youths hold thehr own services vmder the supervision of Mr. Schreiner. Meetings are held at the Community Centre at which very interesting discussions take place.
The present executive are: President, Sidney Holtzkaner; secretary, Harry Weinstein; Gaboim, Benny Parker, and Paul Tyer. ■* We extend hearty invitations to all Jewish youths who wish to belong to this organization.
The Saturday morning services take place at the Talmud Torah Hall, corner Pender and Heatley, starting at 9^30 a.m.

The Vancouver Talmud Torah Ladies' Atixiliary will sponsor a luncheon on Tuesday, December 19 at 12:30 sharp at Spencers. Everyone is urged to attend.
The Federated Jewish Women's organization announces that Red Cross work will begin on Tuesday, December 12th, at 2:00 pjn. at the Community Centre. All those who signed up to do sewing or knitting are asked not to fail to attend iliis first meeting. All others interested in doing such worthy work are sincerely lurged to attend.

Members of the Chapel Society paid a surprise visit to Mrs. Brown, president, at her home on Tuesday evening, November 14, and presented her with a beautiful engraved gold pin hi appreciation of her fine work on behalf of the Society. Mrs. Brown feelingly replied, thanking the members for theh- very beautiful gesture, and Fledged her support to the very utmost in helping the Chapel Society to obtain the objective for which they were formed.
