Passover Services At Hbnio f or Aged
The traditional Passover Seder was held at the Home with .about 20 people present, amongst them residents of the Home.
This: is the first time in the history of Vancouver Jewry that a Jewish Old Home has held,such
a service.
At the first Seder Mr. I UpsScy, Sr. officiated. The traditional songs and hymns were sung by those present At the second Seder Mr. Harry Morris ably assisted by Mr. A. Okolist conducted the
Service.
Thus, another milestone of Service to Vancouver Jewry has been passed

Attention all Senior Judaeans! There will be an important meeting on Sunday, April 13tii„ at the Community centre at 8:00 p.m.
On Sunday, March 31 at the "Bet Hamidrash" hall, 100 chUdren and their parents were treated to an exemplary traditional orthodox "Pe^ch Seder". Around flower bedecked tables, with individual plates of the required food, "moror", egg and "Charoses", the children went through the whole Seder ceremony.
The ^ymbpls were explained by the "Fattier" of the Seder, Jack Wolfe and everybody pr^nt carried them out Important sections of the 'llagaddah" were not only read eri masise, but. were also translated iahd eaplained. At the end, everybody joined in sinjing tie traditional Pesach son^.

To Honor Hebrew Writer^
"Hebrew Writer's Week", sponsored aimually by the Canadian Hebrew .Culture Organization will be marked this year during May 11-18 throu^ut the Dominion. It will be dedicated to the great Hebrew poet Yitzchak Katznelson, who died with his entire family in Hitler's Concentration Camps.. During, that Week diil-dren in all Jewish schools will study about the life and works of the poet and will read and sing ;soine of his poems.
The Keren Hatarbuth has called upon all the Jewish conmiimities. to observe Hebrew Writer's Week by arranging public meetings in memory of the late poet. In Montreal a large meeting is planned for tiie 15tii of May #ith tiie -vireU known Hebrew writer ^ DEmiel Persky as guest spedlser. -v.
In coimection with this activity, thousands of photographs of the poet will be distributed among the pupils of all th& Jewish sdiools in Canada. A beatitifully illustrated bopklet fqr dbildren is being published by; the Keron Hatarbuth* virith the support of the Zitmist Oisanization "of Cana- • da. The booklet will include stOTies, poems and a biography of Yitzchak Katznelson.
