It was decided to hold a Civic Election Rally on November 28, Sunday evening at 8:30, inJhe Jewish Community Centre. To keep the rally impartial all three political platforms wiU be represented. Bazaar' Chairman Edith Thompson brotight samples of all the work that has been done for our booth. Last minute arrangements for the booth were discussed and the decorations are being handled by Rose Segal and Frances Cohen.
The next meeting, at which we will have a very interesting speaker, will be held at Frances Cohen's, 1995 West 1st Avenue.

The Executive of Mizrachi Women of Vancouver hereby extend their cordial thanks and appreciation to Mrs. Rose Dash-evsky and her committee of voluntary workers for the very sratislactpry results of the tea held at her home last Wednesday afternoon. Chapter of Hadassah
A meeting was held at the home of Bea Goldberg on Tuesday, November 9, when a very interesting and most inspiring talk was given by Mr. Lon Horowitz on the State' of Israel.
A rehearsal will be held on Monday afternoon, November 22, at 3:30 p.m., at the Schara Tzedeck Synagogue, by the participants in the Baby Fashion Show, which is taking place on Thursday, November 26. Our conveners for this affair, Sur-ella Ames and Cookie Mackoff, state that all is ready for the big event. Shirley Diver, our social chairman, has requested that all girls be present to assist in serving tea at this affair.
You are also reminded to try and sell as many tombola tickets as possible.
Obiiuary
After a lengthy illness, Mrs. Bertha Kaufmann passed away on November 4, at the age of 80. Rabbi L. Mozeson officiated at the services, which took place on November 5th. Surviving are one son, Max, daughter-in-law, Theressa, and one grandson.
At the last general meeting, held at the home- of Miriam Sherman, the guest speaker was Rabbi Mozeson, who gave an interesting review of the book, "Peace of Mind," by Rabbi Liebman.
At this meeting plans for the bazaar on November 23 and 24 were explained, and work was assigned to various members All girls are required to donate two aprons each. For those girls who did not bring them to this last meeting, the aprons may be left at any Harrison Clothing Store, on Hastings, Howe or Granville streets, in care of Miriam Sherman.
All tombola money must be turned in to Rosalie Toban now!

Qqidohia Pioneer Women's Club Plans Activities
A meeting of the Gordonia Pioneer Women's Club was held on Thursday, November 11, at the home of Mrs. Raymon.
It was decided to hold a rummage sale in Arcadia Hell on Monday, December 13. We ask all our members and friends to hjave the parcels ready and call our convener, Mrs. S. Cramer, KErr. 5300L. Please contact all your friends and a.sk them to make up a parcel. Let us make this project a success.
The cultural program of the meeting was in connection with Remembrance Day. Chaverah R. Liftman spoke'' about the heroic struggle of our Pioneers in defending our land. How, during the past months of strife in the "Yisuv," the women workers of Israel have been a tower of strength and resistance.
A reading was given about the 20-year-old girl, Zoharah Levitov, who took her place in every phas^ of battle and lost her life in the fight for Jerusalem. May their spirit live on and be e source of inspiration to the young chaluzoth of Palestine.
With standing up and. ^minute's silence, the chaveroth of Gordonia honored all who laid down their lives in the Allied and Jewish cause.
A part of the cultural program was the Hebrew record selections by Chaim Rajrmon, the talented son of Mr. and Mrs^ Raymon. All chaveros enjoyed the music very much.
A vote of thanks to Mrs. Raymon for the home she gave for the meeting and the refreshments she yserved.
Pioneer Women's Club News
An interesting and enjoyable meeting of the Pioneer Women's Club was held on Tuesday afternoon, November 9, at the home of Mrs, I. Chernov, with Mrs, M. Archek, president, in the chair,
Chaverah Gorbpyitsky from Winnipeg, who-is taking up residence in Vancouver, was the guest of the meeting. Everyone present was very pleased to hear when the president welcoriied Chaverah Gorbovitsky, regional representative of the Pioneer Women's Organization for B.C., as a member iOf our club, and hoped that the Pioneer Women movement will greatly benefit by her presence here.
Chaverah Gorbovitsky gave a brief talk to the gathering and promised her full co-operation and assistance within her capabilities- After the meeting Mrs. I. Chernov served refreshments, including her f-amous Chernov Beigl.

On Monday, November 1, a general cultural meeting was held at the home of Sally Buium, The m«nbers had an opportunity to meet and hear Chaverah Gorbovitsky, regional director of Pioneer. Women's Organiation for British Columbia. Chaverah Gorbovitsky traced the Pioneer Women's Movement from 1907 till the present day.
The Pioneer Women's Organization of Canada works in; close co-ordination ~ with the . Moat-zoth Hapoaloth, the Workuag Women's Council in Palestine.
In this present day era women must assume many responsibilities, therefore she must train and develop herself to meet any situation. To further the vocational training of these women, the Moatzoth Hapoaloth have built nine agricultural schools in Palestine.
