A very active girl in local youth circles is Shirley Gurevich who will leave for an eight month course in Israel this fall. Shirley was granted a scholarship to the course by the Vancouver Labor Zionist Organization in recognition of her devoted work in Ha-bonim.
Since the Machaneh was organized here four years ago, Shirley has been on the executive and has led a group of girls. After the course, she will return to Vancouver and use her experience and training to benefit Habonim.
The Youth Workshop, sponsored by Habonim in co-operation with the Jewish Agency and His-tadrut in Israel, now offers the youth of Vancouver an opportunity to observe and share in the creative experiences of the people of Israel.

Boats will leave Union Pier at the foot of Carral at 9:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Everyone taking part in the sports activities or social activities should reserve their tickets well in advance and make sure they catch- the 9:30 boat. All sports events will start at 2 p.m. and will continue until 4 p.m. In case of rain the picnic will be postponed.
