The shipment of close to 11 tons was sent to Portland via Seattle Transport. In Portland it was loaded aboard the S.S. Pierre Victory for shipment to Israel . . . The most ardent workers in this year's campaign were Uoyd Taylor, A! Mahn, A! Grossman, Abraham Shuer and ^Arthur Zimmerman Arthur asks that everyone should take special note that the campaign is now over for this year ... Anyone having clothes they would still like to send to Israel can probably do so through the Hadassah who make regular shipments several times a year.

BACK FROM EUROPE to report to Canadian Jewish Congress headquarters in Montreal is Lottie Levinson, former Community Centre secretary here. Lottie represents Congress in Europe in the work pf clearing Jewish immigrants coming to .Canada . . . According to a report in the J^on-treal Herald, Lottie works extra hours, Saturdays and Sundays in the hope of "working herself out of a job."

There are reports about the doings of three different bowling leagues in this issue, and plans are going ahead for further expansion in this field . . . The main effort to organize a new fall bowling league is now being made by Vancouver Lodge BB, with Aaron Kalensky in charge . . . Applica-ions for this league are now being accepted from members of Vancouver Lodge and their families.

The Sweetheart Ball was the highlight of the 20th Annual AZA May Weekend which was held on May 22-25 and which featured a mixer, a Sabbath, a baseball tournament and ia picnic. Seattle 350 successfully swept the series to win the unofficial Softball championship of N\)rth-ern Region.
B'nai B'rith and BBYO members helped considerably to make the 1952 May Weekend the success it was. '

MRS. FAIGE SEDLETSKY
passed away on June 3 in. St. Paul's'Hospital* after a short ill-niess. Born in Poland, Mrs. Sed-l^tsky after living for a time in Muhich, Giermany, came to" Vancouver in June, 1948. Eight months ago Mr. and Mrs. Sedlet-sky purchased Max's Delicatessen.
' She is survived by her husband Myer. Burial took place Wednesday, June 4 at Schara Tzedeck Cemetery,,Rabbi Ch. B. Ginsberg officiating.

Solly Globm^n, anchor man on the Moscovitch squad, was the big noise in the 20-40 Club Spring League at De Luxe last Tuesday rlight, checjcing iit with a 721 triple and 317 single.
.Globman picked up four points on his average and took over in that department, but only by six pins; over Harvey Levin and ten over Max Power. Glbbman now has 222 plus seven while Levin has 222 plus one and Power 221 plus 12.
Ben Kopelow's team finally-went down to defeat, losing two games and total pins to the cellar dwelling Lazarus team.
Other results were: Slwtsky 3; Power 1; Levin 3; Davis 1; Bellas 2; Moscovitch 2.
The standings now show Kopelow's in front with 16 points^while Bellas and Levin are second with 12 each. In third is Powers with 10 while Slutsky is next with nine, Davis 8, Moscovitch 7 and Lazarus 6.
Barbara Davis toppfed the ladies with a 248 single while. JEsther Bellas rolled a 230 and MoUie Mickelson a 227.
