•CAPSULE CULTURE for the Pincus Men—also known as "Now and Then," proved to be mostly entertaining and highly hilarious for the 600 to 700, husbahds and wives, uncles aiid aunts, bobbas and zaides and etc., who came to watch the show last Sunday night-^"A brera hoben zei gehot"=—and ditto for us! -
Better title for the "Pincus Men" would have been the "Two Boxed Blanks" (Stan and George) who undoubtedly suffered more for not having to change costumes all night than all the rest of the cast did in having to change garb betwixt and between the midMvay through almost every act.

THE BEST ACT, rating an •A" for teamwork and presenta-;ion and an "A-minus" for con-ent was the "Roaring: Twenties". . . The entire cast in this number was top-notch. . . . Ralph onberg displayed sparkling comedy talent. . . . Jeaii Levejr showed notable singing style in Some of These Days." . The Charlston number was probably the best chorus effort in the whole show, and of course the "Apache" dance with Eleanor Matlin and Val Warren was the big hit of the evening. . . ' * " * * ^
VERY WELL DONE weire all the dance numbers with Eleanor Matlin most Versatile as "Eve-cimi - Cleopatra - cum ^ Mamselle Apache." And of course we shall not soon forget Lil Katzman of he "Seven Veils."
AS A PSirCH-RIATRIST, our good friend Murray (tell him you saw it in the Bulletin) Goldman was ad-lib-idike a bissel meshuge." , . . But he made up for with his Danny Kaye take-off which was so well done that after he show his father-in-law asked him; "TiiJurray did anyone backstage help you in the hard parts?" * * *
EVERYBODY SHONE! n
Tops in vocal , soleizing and eye-filling to-boot was Shirley Kaplan and one particulai- young man in the back row (same initials) couldn't keep his eyes off her. ... Brucye Klein, Helen Brail and Shirley Finhelstein were cute as the "Kommercial Kiddies." . . . The Barbershop Quartet—Fromson, Angrel, Toft, and Pelman were barbersome(?) (Lazar's definition—they looked and sounded the part). ... , While Joe Jampole and Fran Cohen were commendably present in the tap-dance duet. . . . Also proving generally useful throughout the^show were Syd Zbarsky as Adam-cum^Nikolai-cum-Jack-pot, and Ben Kopelow, Max Power, Val Warren, Ralph Fon-berg and Nate Singer as trees, nightmares, straight-^men and even funny-men.'. . . The dancing chorus gained added eye ap-
peal from Ethel Gelfand, Lita Cohen ^and Bea Goldberg.

WE UNDERSTAND that there were about as many characters sweating backstage as there were making with the act before the footlights. . . . But we can only mention here the Character-in-chief, Murray Katzman, \vho does a darn good job with figures both at work and at play and knows how to whip talent into
shape. «

ALL THE AUDIENCE was
sure plugging for the^ cast including the high-brows, the lowbrows and the in-betweens, and especially Leonard White. ... And right there in the dark Hy Pomerantz of Montreal recognized Bulletin Editor, Abe Arnold, whom he hadn't seen in about 15 years.
THE JUNIOR TEAM of Cole and Zlotnik is featured in the Moose Little League but they're playing on opposite sides. Shel-

WE H-ErA-R (how could we help it with Mrs. B. on the Bulletin staff) that Sid Brail won the low net in the 14 year and under class in the City Junior Golf Tourney held last week. Maybe papa Sam better take a few lessons!

QUITE A FEW DOCTORS
were in the house when friends of the groom-to-be Dr. Dave Clamah arranged a stag for the lucky man. Speeches were constantly punctuated by telephone calls for various doctors but it was not clearly established who is the most wanted medico after office hours . . . Dr. Harrison, professor of obstetrics and gynecology at the General Hospital, made a hit with his Hebrew expressions—Mazeltov and Shalom Tcho—^which he translated for the benefit of "the uninitiated"

But even while war criminals are being releasedi others are still being tried. Iii Munich for example, seven eJt-gestapo men have been indicted by a German court for deporting over 3,b00 Jews to death camps where most perished. . They have not been, charged with miu-der however, because the district attorney claims it; cannot be prove'd that they were award, of the purpose of the. deportation. They are therefore charged with - "being accessories to the. deprivation of liberty." '
A^ new trial has been ordered for Franz Rademacher, ex-head of the Jewish section of the nazi foreign office, who got off with a light 41 month sentence ifor manslaughter. But Rademacher was released from jail last year and is reported to be in South America.
