IViKS. FKED GORDON is opening her lovely home at 4775 Granville Street for a Garden Party and Social sponsored by Golda Myerson Club Pioneer Women, Wednesday, June 10. The Garden Party will take place from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m., with the Social following in the evening. Proceeds of this affair will go to aid the New Agricultural and Trade School in" the Negev. The whole community is cordially invited to attend this outstanding event.

Mr. M. Gelin in memory of his beloved wife, Bertha Gelin who was a member of this Chapter purchased fifty trees to be planted in Israel. . . . born in London in 1905 and came to Canada in 1^30. Served with British Army in Britain and Egypt, 1923 to 1930. Served with Canadian Army (Permanent Force) 1931 to 1943. Served at National Defense Headquarters, Ottawa during World War II until 1942. Came to B.C. in 1943 and has held positions in lumbering, mining and construction industries. Life-long member of Canadian Legion. Active member of Gordon House. Served with Canadian National Railways since 1949. Now cruise director for CNS "Prince George."
