Fairview Branch 178 Canadian Legion will hold all its general meetings on the. third Thursday of each month, with executive meet ings taking place the first Thursday of each month . . . The next general meeting will take place at the Community Centre on Thursday, September 16.

HILIfEIi activities will start rolling once again with the annual Cocktail Party to be held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ace-man on Sunday, September 19 from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. Everyone of University age is invited to attend.
The Women's UJA Division is accelerating its' pace ^s a long-awaited event draws near. Peak attendance is foreseen at the Generous Gifts Luncheon (Minimum Gift $12.00 and up) held this coming Wednesday at the Hotel Vancouver, at 12:15 p.m. and being convened ^ by Mrs. N. Fox and Mrs. D. Montefior^.
Lion's share of the credit-aside from the feminine community's sense of responsibility toward the central causes the ^UJA serves—for the anticipated "tremendous" response, is being assigned to the gala musical revue "THE WHOLE TOWN IS TALKING!"
The Revue, directed by Mrs. Sid Kaplan, will feature top-notch musical and singing talent in a brilliant presentation never before seen in Vancouver, The. hard working and enthusiastic cast includes: Mrs. S. Kaplan, Master of Ceremonies; Mrs. M. Abramson, Mrs. J. Blumes, Mrs. S. H. Gould, Mrs. H. Harrison, Mrs. D. Levine, Mrs. Dolly Mol-dowan, Mrs. B. Shapiro, Miss Marie Satanov, Mrs. Al Wasel,

THIRD ATTACK UPON NETIV HA-LAMED-HEH
' JERUSALEM—(ISI) — The third Jordan attack in as many weeks, upon harvesters from the settlement Netiv La-Lamed-Heh, in the Jerusalem Corr|ior, took place on August 13. Similar attacks upon settlers working in the fields had taken place on August 9 and July 26. During the first attack, five Israelis had been wounded.
FERTILIZER AND GHEMICAIi OUTPUT SOARS HAIFA—(ISI)—The output of the Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd. plant in Haifa has expanded rapidly during the past few months. A record production of 7,700 tons of superphospate was achieved in June and the production of sulphuric acid now exceeds 3,450 tons monthly.
The superphosphate production capacity of Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd. has now risen to 300 tons daily. The total output of superphospate was 17,500 tons during the second quarter of 1954 as compared with 5,100 tons in the corresponding quarter of 1953.

42ND B'NAI B'RITH WOLF CUB PACK will hold its first meeting of the Fall Season at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 14 at the Talmud Torah Hall, 27th Ave. and Oak St. . . . The Cub Pack will again be under the Leadership of Cubmasters C. Kemp and A. Blume.
