TALKING; ABOUT RADIO anyone who happened to tune in on CBC Profile last Sunday night
PLENTY OF TALK is going on now about the UJA campaign in view of the Zionist Board decision advocating a joint campaign for overseas needs only, in partnership with Canadian Jewish Congress. Sid Zack, president of the Talmud Torah was unavailable for comment pendn, ing a meeting of his executive scheduled for Thursday of this week. It is rumoured that an effort may be made to have the Zionists reverse their decision. Peretz School executive met this week and issued a statement urging the maintenance of a united appeal. The issue won't be finally settled, however, be^ fore the end of the month, or even later, in view of the fact that Congress will not take the matter up until its meeting on February 27.

ANNUAL MEETING reports of the Jewish Community Council were unavailable for publication this week, even though the meeting will be over by the time you read thi3. However, a Centre wag made the following i)redic-tion(?) about the Annual Meeting of 1975; Dr. J. V. White, President of the Jewish Com munity Council tottered up to the platform to give his annual report and announced, his firm resolve to remain in office until the new Jewish Centre is achieved.
EDMONTON MYSTERY. Doe3 our "Northern Gateway" also need an endorsation bureau or has this situation been solved? Two weeks ago the Bulletin carr-ried a report that Israeli songstress Shoshana Shoshan will sing in Edmonton on February 16 under the auspices of the Zionist Organization. Last weefk, Edmonton Hadassah announced a Canada Hall reception for the
same date, Wednesday, February 16. The last issue of the Canadian Zionist announced that Sam Drache of Winnipeg would speak at a Herzl year meeting in Ed-montoh on February 16 at which Shoshana Shoshan will also sing . , . According to a letter from Mr.^'Drache himself he is speaking in Edmonton on Tuesday February 15. We hope for al concerned that this is the answer to the question, and that the Vancouver Endorsation Bureau will n<jt have to come to the rescue!
