Pioiieer Women sNew Year message
New York—In a message for the New Year, Chaya Surchin, national president of Pioneer Women, called ifor increased efforts to strengthen Jewish community life and to back Israel in its struggle for security and peace. The text of the message follows:
"5716 was a year ot political re-Verses for ^ Israel and for World Jewry, which were foreshadowed
by the Czectioslovakiaii - Egyptian arms deal, The .presence of a vengeful enemy, armed to the hilt anc trained by Soviet experts in the Use of the latest equipment, subsequently endangered Israel's security far beyond any point in its rfief history. The mobilization of public opinion on behalf of adequate arms for Israel thus became a cardinal task in the past year. ^ > "In the face of world apathy
