COOKING DEMONSTRATION
I want to remind you again that the E. H. McCaffeiy, O^eefe and MerHt Gas Ranges cooking demonstration should be a must on every bazaar-goer's schedule. Robbie RoMn-son, in charge of the demonstration is really tops-in his field. B.C. Electric has sent invitations to their representatives in Vancouver, Hope and Chilliwack, urging thern to attend. Hadassah members should plan to attend the 11 o'clock, 1 or 3 o'clock demonstrations, in order to leave room for "the mob" at the late shows. ^
We are most fortunate in obtaining the services of Marie Moreau as fashion commentator—another "tops in her field."
And. now to complete the report on Chapter efforts.
I forgot to mention that Henrietta Szold has three bazaar chairmen. In addition to Frances CtAen,-there is Betty Averbach and Toby Swarfz.
Marie Dodeck, Bazaar chairman for the Ruth Chapter tells me that they have collected many, many beautiful hats, all .either new or nearly

new. They have also knitted cosy, cuddly hats of different types for young and old. The Ruth's will have on hand a large collection of wood-fibre flowers in all colors, shapes and sizes (This is a year-round project.) Add. to this, special Christmas corsages, decorations and table centrepieces—and yoii have a real show place. Ruth Chapter are also having \a fishing game and a dime-in-a-dish game.
Elizabeth Zacks, reporting for Lillian Freiman tells of wonderful "Machulim" for an enjoyable dinner for the family^ There will be a choice of gefilte fish, blintzes, meat balls and baked salmon. ,L. F.'s are making lots of wonderful pastry. They will be in charge of the Giant Bingo— a big attraction for one'and all. They will also have a large variety of items at their Miscellaneous . Booth.
I learn from Goldie Rittberg, that Youth Aiiyah will again have their dessert bar—with pies and Jewish baking served on tlie spot. They have many very special prizes on hand for their 1001 booth—which has always been so popular in past years. I saw the doll and bassinette, with her eight complete outfits that lElstber Dayson made for their raffle. Any little girl that wins it will have competition from her mother who'll want to play with it too. It should only happen to me.
I learn via the grapevine that Elizabeth Korbin, almost single-handed made about 450 doll outfits for the Naomi Chapter. It makes me tired just thinking of it. Thanks Elizabeth. Each little girl that buys one will thank you tpo. Naomi will also have lots, of interesting items at their White EJephanL^Booth.
Sonila Bdlas, Bazaar Chairman, for our very newest Hadaslsim Chapter, tells me th^t they will have a food booth, be "^responsible for . a Big Wheel game and a very attractive raffle. .
I learn from Betty Zack that Shalmn Chapter members have had a pack of fun producing over 500 hand puppets. Three of these have ;already become members of the Ziimmerman family. I thought I'd buy th€{m for give-away gifts—^but my daughter, Susan, just couldn't bear to part with even one of them. They're really something-
little Indians, clowns, artists and whatnot, beautifully painted and dressed to match their faces. Shalmn Chapter

will have yeast baking and fancy squares, barbecue beef sandwiches at the Bazaar, plus their Kiddies' klothes Shop, where children's new and nearly new clothes will be sold. They still need clothes-to your cub-boards, ladies!
Speaking for the Ben Zyi Chapter, Helen Levison tells me they will have yards and yards of LU Rotstein's special strudel, plus hundreds of kni-shes and delicious sandwiches. Ben Zvi have made many beautiful aprons and they are having, four booths at the General Store. They were lucky enough to get some new ladies' coats, right from the factory, men's, jackets, slacks, toys and just about everything from soup to nuts in items of general usage. ^ .
The Israeli Chapter, under the Bazaar Chairmanship of Goldie Genser, have produced a variety of items that would do credit to professionals. Their jewelled light switches, blackboards, piggy banks, hydrangias, etc., are just lovely, and their filled horns of plenty are beautiful table centres. They also have T. V. socks—cute as cute can be.
The Sharon Chapter have arranged for a Pizza Pie Centre. Pizza pies will be professionally prepared-, by staff provided by the Pizza manager of the Snackery, and if you haven't tasted them yet, make it a first at the Bazaar
—a taste sensation.
And now this is really Shalom. I'm like the man who couldn't eat or sleep because the book he was reading was so exciting—only to find the last Chapter missing. I'll be
