Claire Klein heads enriched Sunday series at Pereti School
The Cultural and Educational Committee of the Vancouver Peretz School announced this week that Claire Klein, well-known television and concert artist will again lead the School's Sunday morning program. ' ' -
"I was so excited and inspired to have almost 60 children greet me cheerfully every Sunday morning and so amazed at their capacity to
holiday themes. The program will also be enriched with drarA-will also be enriched with dramatic and other arts, sports, and various extra-curricular activities.
The Sunday morning timetable also includes an hour dedicated to a beginners' class in Yiddish language and storytelling from Jewish history and literature.

JERUSALEM Fifty wells will be sunk in various parts of he country in. the course of the :urrerit year in an effort, to augment the water supplies of settlements, suffering from a shortage of water following the drought of the past two years. Last year 34 wells were sunk.

Professor Jacob Biieiy of the University of British , Coliinibia was honored this month "foi? outstanding service and guid?-ance in teaching the science ol poultry".
The Ralston Purina Teaching award consisting of a. plaque and a cheque for $1,000 was presented to him by the Poultrjf? Science Association on behalf of the Ralston^ Purina Company of St. Louis, Missouri.

He is a member of the British Columbia Poultry Industries Council of which he was chainnan in 1954-5'6 as well as of inafiy Canadian and American scientific societies. For six years he was a member Of the Nutrition Committee of the National Research Council of Canada and is the current president of the Nutrition Society of Canada.
He joined the department of Poultry Husbandry at UBC in 1935 and since then during the course of years of research has been author or co-author of well over 100 papers. His interests lie mainly in the field of poultry-nutrition.
