NACHUS DEPARTMENT —
Only 22 times in all of Canada has it happened that a perfect game has 'been bowled, namely 12 consecutive strikes. Last week it happened to the youngest bowler who has ever bowled a perfect game, Eric Kagna, 12-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Kagna. In Junior League play at Lougheed Lanes, Eric achieved his remarkable feat and won $400 in the doing.

COME TO THE FAIR -
Talk of the town these last few days is the turkey dinner which B. C. B'nai B'rith Women's Council are dishing up for Sunday supper at their Gala Food Fair. Apparently it is going to be something extra special in the way •of turkey ^ dinners and not to be passed up come Nov. 20 from 5 to 7 p.m. For kiddies the meal's half-price and the kiddies' corner, rides, :lowns, treats, are sure sellout attractions.
LIBERAL LEADER BANQUET GUEST
American Jewish CommJttee has been appealing to the U.S. government to withdraw its support for the U.A.R.'s claim tc a seat on the Council as a representative of the Middle East at least until that country "pledges itself to do everything in its power to pursue^the goal of peace." The AJC pointed out that President Nasser of the UAR had "just announced his Intention to destroy the State of Israel by war." On this basis, the Jewish organization argued • he election of the United Arab '^lepublic to the Council would "make a mockery of the very existence of the United Nations."
PLANS UNDERWAY FOR AMERICAN "ALIYAH"
NEW YORK—A specific programme designed to step up the influx of American Jews to Israel was outlined this week by Louis Segal, chairman of the Aliyah committe of the Jewish Agency for Israel, in a report to the National Assembly of American Zionists. Highlights of Mr. Segal's recommendations were he creation of a mortgage fund ;or the purchase of homes in Is-ael; the establishment of model "American township" in Isr/ael; organization of "pre - Aliyah" tours for Americans seriously contemplating emigration to Israel and inducing American Jewish youth to join "Ulpanim" and .vorkshops in Israel.
Since the establishment of the State in 1948, over 10,000 Americans have made their homes in Israel, Mr. Segal said, adding hat an additional thousand will lave settled there by the end of -he current year. In view of their high standard of living, individual rather than mass immigra-lion was, he felt, better with -'espect to American Jews.
New jazz cenfre for Voncouver
A panoramic selection of con-emporary and traditional jazz ecordings is available at Vancouver's newest record store, JUST JAZZ, which opened on Sept. 29. Located at 537 West Pender, this store is a complete one-stop shopping centre for very things there is to hear in azz and features the largept ?l3aek of jazz records in Vancouver.
Mr.' Ray Perrault, leader of the Liberal Party in B.C.- will be guest speaker at the Ever-green-2282 B'nai B'rith "Champion Good Fellowship Banquet," dinner meeting to be held this Wednesday, Nov. 23, at 6:30 p.m. in the Mural Room of the Peter Pan Cafe, 1034 Granville St. The evening will begin with cocktails.
Mr. Perrault is a veteran member of the Board of Directors of the Civic Unity Associ-^ ation, a group which, like B'nai 3'rith's Anti-Defamation League, is dedicated to the fight against racial and religious prejudice. He is also executive member of Vancouver's United Nations Association.
No charge for the dinner or cocktails will be made to persons bringing along a new member, or to the new member himself. The banquet, which will form part of a regular meeting, with full lodge ritual, will be held in the finely appointed Banquet Hall which is associated with the restaurant of Mr. Peter Pantages and his family.
A social evening with special entertainment will follow the meeting.
Its enterprising young man-a^er, RoaCameron, offers a remarkable assortment of recordings in an "atmosphere that is iiighly contemporary and makes ior easy shopping. He has a very interesting special stereo section and among the many, many recordings available there are some by standup, night club 2omedians such as Jonathan Winter. JUST JAZZ has all the leading recording artists such as Cannonball Aderly, Count Basie, Miles Davis, Gerry Mulligan, Dave Brubeck, Oscar Peterson, Dizzie Gillespie' Shelly Mann, the Modern Jazz Quartet, Barney Kessel and more.
JUST JAZZ also offers traditional jazz recordings and the platters of Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughan are available to mention only a few of these.
This shop is unique in more than its exclusive handling of jazz recordings for Ron Cameron has plans from time to time to exhibit contemporary paintings right on the walls of the store, which should guarantee its patrons a more than interesting visit whenever they are in the vicinity of 537 West Pender Street.
Participants will be: Les Ha-rowitz, Malcolm Weinstein, Bruce Cohen and Natalie Dra-che.
The Institute is open, to all in the community, regardless of affiliation with the Congregation. Registration for the final two lectures \n the series is $1.00 and single lectures are 50 cents. Mmbers of Youth groups are admitted free. Tea, refreshments and a.socialJhour follow each lecture.

The place was filled with soldiers. Instead I hurried out to seek aid. The men noticed me leave, however, and as I turned from a corner to^ see, I noticed them leave suspiciously. I reported the incident to the police. But no one would believe me".
Reiger adds in his letter that had there hot been recent reports from other sources that Hitler may -still be alive in , Argentina, he would never have < brought the matter out into the open even now.
