Mrs. Watson is in favor of building a downtown coliseum which could revitalize the downtown area where it would be of the greatest benefit to the most citizens, and it could give a great boost to sports and tourism. . .
, "I belieye there should, be a j plebiscite on Sunday movies," she declared. "Council should always do what it feels to be in the best interests of Vancouver as a whole, but it cannot ignore such strong expressions of public opinion as were brought forth in favor of a plebiscite on the, Sunday movie issue. I believe that if the city does not take oyer the old Shaughnessy GJolf Course as a park, future generations of Vancouverites will scorn us for the idiots we were- No doubt there were p^2nty of "realists" in 1910 who ppoh-poohied Stanley Park as "impractical". Does anyone want to subdivide Stanley Park now? We . have in Shaughnessy a potential parkland which for fifty years has been maintained and developed at private expense. This priceless civic opportunity should not be lost now, especially since it will cost Vancouver taxpayers S300,000 to install municipal services in the area if the proposed Shaughnessy subdivision proceeds."

Speaking on the topic, "After The Bar-Mitzvah, What?" Rabbi Aron eloquently pointed out that Israel is a bastion of morality in the world, and a source of pride not only to world Jewry but as a member of the community of nations. By example, he indicated how the young Jew ish State is following the path of justice in terms of international decisions rather than the now popular path of power politics.
The invocation was made by Rabbi Bert Woythaler, and a toast to the Queen and the President of the State of Israel was proposed by Leslie Raphael, president of the Zionist Organization of B.C.
Special tribute was paid to the Watermans by Negev Dinner Chairman Morris Feldstein. The warmth and sincerity of Mr. Feldstein's intimate remarks touched his listeners deeply moving them to a prolonged ovation.
In replying on behalf of Mrs. Waterman a.nd himself, Mr. Waterman recalled those pioneers who along with himself and his wife kept the spark of Zion alive in Canada at a time when Zionism was an unpopular movement. "If History is our teacher then we must preserve and nurture that gem which we have today, Israel, so that the holocausts of the past can never; igain be experienced by the Jew- { sh people," Mr. Waterman stated.

• Full Kindergartens for all 5-year-olds. The present program must be expanded so that every five-year-old in Vancouver may attend a fully-equipped, well-staffed kindergarten each morning from Monday to Friday.
Mrs. Delany has no objection to a plebiscite on Sunday movies and advocates chronic treatment hospitals to relieve the high cost, of acute care hospitalization. She pledges to work for cooperation with the senior gov-j ernments and reallocation ofi revenues and would seek retribution for loss of taxes on pro-] vincially-owned properties.
