ish way of life is reflected in the program of Council," said Mrs. Brown. "Every phase of the Council program is rooted in the tradition of the prophetic teaching of our forefathers."
As applied to Council's proposed expansion of its Golden Age program which includes establishing a Sheltered Workshop, all planned through proceeds from the forthcoming Angel's Ball, lines from tha Book Dt Psalms have been quoted:
"Cast me not pfi in time of old age
When my strength faileth, forsake me not." (Psalms 71;9)
The Angel's Ball is to be held on June 16 at the Bayshore Inn and attendance for two is through donation to Council Thrift Shop of $100 in good clean useable clothing. Contributions of time to work in the Thrift Shop is aiso credited towards the Ball and of course, cash donations will make aji "angel" out of any generous member of the community.

Creations of Jewish artists on display
A most unusual event now in progress at the Vancouver Pe-retz school, "6184 Ash street, is a display of- paintings brought together from cities across Canada, representing the work of Jewish artists. Most of these works are available for purchase, but the main purpose of the exhibit is to bring together the works of Canadian-Jewish artists in a suitable setting.
A native of Montreal, Louis Muhlstock, recently had a considerable section of "Canadian Art" devoted to photographs of his work, accompanied by an interview which revealed him as t a mature and sensitive crafts-jman, "the complete artist."
No less Canadian is Alexander Bercovitch who was born in the Ukraine and went to Palestine at the age of 15, studying at the Bezalel Art school with Prof. Schatz.
Rita Briansky studied art with Mr. Bercovitch at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts among other art schools. She has exhibited in New York, Philadelphia and every major, city across Canada,
Sylvia Ary is the daughter of Alexander Bercovitch, from whom she received her early art training. She has also studied with other outstanding artists in her home city of Montreal,
The works of Arnold Belkin on view at the Peretz school during this exhibit have been loaned from collections of Vancouver srt lovers who know him well. He now resides in Mexico, where he is famous for his murals on some of the most beautiful buildings in that country.
Art lovers in Vancouver can visit the Peretz school this Sunday, April 1, and every Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m.; and frqm 7 to 10 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays until April 15. A catalogue will be available and there is no admission charge.
