MARRIAGE ANNOUNCED
The marriage is announced of Miss Gayle Rhona Segal, daughter of Mrs. Abe (Blanche) Segal and the late Mr. Segal, formerly of CaJgary, Alta., to Mr. Harry Saul Hammer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Max Hammer of Vancouver. The ceremony took place Wednesday morning, July 18, at the home of Rabbi and Mrs. G. Chirnomas. Rabbi Chirnomas was assisted by Cantor Rosenberg.

Mr. Kenneth Kramer has returned from London, England to spend his vacation with his parents, Mr. and Mrs, Arthur Kramer. He joins his parents on a visit to Hawaii and Fiji before returning to England to resume his studies at the London Academy of Drama.

Rabbi Bert poythaler officia-ted at the cere-[lony assisted by Cantor Abra-lam Deutsch. Given in marriage by her ither, the bride chose a fitted leath gown of white Italian silk ?au de sol with a bouffant rerskirt falling into a train.

The scalloped neckline was edged with guipiere lace and the gown featured lily point sleeves. The bride's headdress was of fine silk illusion bouffant veiling caught up by a multi-petal-led flower of seed pearls and lace. She carried a white bible bedecked with a whit> orchid, stephanotis and satin ribbons.
Miss Judy Toban was maid of honor and bridesmaids were Miss Francine Bellas, Victoria Lesk, Carol Wine and Gail Gur-vin, all cousins of the bride. Junior bridesmaid was Miss Cynthia Wine, the bride's cousin.
All the attendants chose pure silk peau de soi copen blue dresses, with! round necklines, short sleeves, fitted waistline and apple skirts with full back interest. Their headpieces were Teagle organza roses framed by small bouffant veils matching their gowns and they carried bouquets" of white carnations with blue bows.
The mother of the bride selected a dusky rose pure silk peau de soi with overskirt, neckline and sleeves outlined in gui-pere lace and pearls. Her hat was of pure silk veiling entone with the dress and she wore an orchid.

The groom's mother chose a dusky rose dress of fine lace and pearls styled in a sheath. Her pill box hat matched her gown and she wore an Orchid corsage.
Murray Goldenberg of Winnipeg, was best man and ushers were: Harold Fogel, of Winnipeg; Bryan Davis, cousin of the groom; Earl Lesk, brother of the bride, and Brian Wine, cousin of the bride.
A dinner and dance held' in the auditorium of the synagogue followed the ceremony. Mr. Harold Davis was master of ceremonies and Mr. Murray Goldenberg, the best man, proposed the toast to the bride.
The bride's going away ensemble consisted of a white sheath dress with finger-tip length multi-colored coat and white accessories.
Following a honeymoon in Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Las Vegas, the young couple will take up residence in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
An out-of-town guest list for the wedding was published previously in the July 13 edition of The Bulletin.
Wins school awards .
Elizabeth Bevan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Bevan, 1435 East 30th, received the' highest Grade 10 award at Gladstone High School. She was honor student of the year for her achievement in scholarship and citizenship and other school activities.
Elizabeth plays violin in the school orchestra, sings in the choir and was Grade ten council secretary. She also received an award for maintaining scholarship for four years.
Youth Affairs
