David Gerald Reed Bar-Mifzvah at Belh Israel
The Bar-Mitzv&h of David Gerald Reed, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Reed, will take place at the Beth Israel synagogue on September 15, during the Sabba-th morning services, which commence at 9:30 a.m. Following the services, a Kid-dush will be tendered by Mr-and Mrs. Reed in honour of their son's Bar-Mitzvah.
Rabbi Bert A .Woythaler and Cantor Abraham Deutsch will officiate, assisted by the Beth Israel choir, under the direction of Sol Pelnan.

Schara Tzedeck chapel was ba.nked with deep pink and ^white chrysanthemums to create a lovely setting for an intimate family wedding joining Leah Esther Gofsky and Kenneth Leslie Levitt in marriage. The bride is the only daughter of Mr. and Mfs. Harry Gofsky, and the groom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Ted Levitt, all of Vancouver. Rabbi Bernard Goldenberg and Cantor J. Rosenberg officiated at the ceremony.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose a ballerina length de-lustred satin gown trimmed with seed pearls. Her tiara of seed pearls held her shoulder length bouffant veil. She carried a bible bouquet of

a deep pink peau de sole satin
gown, designed with a bell skirt and topped with a French lace waist length jacket. Her headpiece was styled with a matching satin rose and stephanotis. She carried a bouquet of white elegance carnations trimmed with deep pink.
Mr. Stewart Levitt, the groom's brother, was best man.
The mother of the bride wore a shell pink linen dress trimmed with white lace and seed pearls and matching hat. The groom's mother was gowned in blue lace and chiffon with matching hat.
Miss Jen Gofsky of San Francisco, aunt of the bride, accompanied the mother of the bride n the ceremony. She wore a magenta brocade two-piece dress and matching hat.
Mr. Morey Veno proposed the toast to the bride at the dinner reception held at the Royal Towers hotel. New Westminster.
Dr. Allan Smith, uncle of the bride, acted as master of ceremonies.
Out of town aunts and uncles of the bride and groom were In attendance: Mrs. Leo Joffe, Mrs. H. Levitt and Mr. Jack Levitt, all of Calgary; Mr. and Mrs. L. Harvitz, of Seattle; Miss Jen Gofsky of San Francisco and Mrs. Joseph Cooper of New Jersey.
Following a honeymoon down south, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Levitt will reside in Vancouver, where Mr. Levitt will continue his studies at U.B.C.

NEW RESIDENTS
Mr: and Mrs. Leon Glassman, of Regina, with their three children, Elliot, Kevin and Heather, have recently taken up residence in Vancouver. Mi*^. Glassman has been- a prominent businessman in Regina for many years and has also been active in Jewish communal affairs. His wife is the former Rose Marrie Sokolo.v, of Edmonton. Prior to their departure from Regina, the Glass-man's were widely feted by thoir many friends. They are now residing at 6785 Laurel Ave.
