Joint meeting on religion in schools is open to public
Vancouver lodge No. 668, B'nai B'rith and the Nordau chapter of Hadassah will present a public discussion on the subject, "Religion and the Public School." P&rticipating in the discussion will be: Dr. Werner Cohn, Mr. Sam Kaplan and Mr. Abe Sacks, with Mr. David Freeman, a past president of Vancouver lodge, acting as moderator.
This matter has recently been aired in. the press, and also on the campus of the University of British Columbia. It is now offered to the community as a public service.- on Wednesday, Feb ruary 6 at 9 p.m. at the Jewish Community Centre, 41st Ave. and Oak St. The community at large is cordially invited to attend this event and avail themselves of the opportunity to hear divergent views expressed on this important topic.
Refreshments will be offered by the Nordau chapter following the discussion.
Vancouver Lodge 668 and Nordau chapter will hold brief business sessions, commencing F.t 8:15 p.m., which will precede the open ineeting.
