Beth Israel to hear Jistmguished siheiar
On Tuseday evening, Oct. 13, a joint dinner meeting of Beth Israel Congregation, Sisterhood and Men's club will be addressed by Dr. David Winston. Dr. Winston is Professor of Talmud at University of Judaism in Los Angeles, and a most distinguished scholar and notable speaker.
Cocktails will be served at 6:30 p.m. and dinner at 7 p.m., in Beth-Israel auditorium, at $3 a plate. Guests are most welcome. Reservations may be phoned to the synagogue office, RE 1-4161.
The dinner^ will be convened by Mrs. Ed. Donner.

Marlene Soverinsky and Dr. Bernard Leon Toft were united in marriage recently at Adais ,S,h a 1 o m Synagogue, Detroit with Rabbi Jacob E. Segal and Cantor Nocholas Fenakel of-ficating.
They are the children of Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Soverinsky of Santa Barbara Drive, Detroit, and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Toft of Vancouver,^ B.C.
The bride's white Chantiliy lace over satin gown had inserted lace points at the jewel neckline with a fitted bodice, long - pointed Chantilly lace sleeves, and fitted Basque waistline w h i c h extended into a floor-length bouffant skirt with a chapel train. She jwrore a bouffant three-tiered fingertip veil fastened to a satin Dior bow centred with a white satin cabbage rose. She carried two white orchids with streamers of white tea roses and ivy on her confirmation Bible,
Attending the bride as matron of honor was her sister-in-law, Mrs. Marilyn Soverinsky, while Miss Marcia Toft, the groom's sister was Maid of Honor. Bridesmaids included Mrs. Gerald Perlman, Miss Gail Toft and Miss Elaine Golob. Linda Beth Soverinsky acted as her aunt's flower girl.
Dr. Louis Soverinsky served as his brother-in-law's best man, while ushers included Gerald Perlman, Jonathan Goldsmith and David Waltman. Seating the puests were Larry Golob and Allen Goldsmith.
