Over 30 youth attend special S.t. service
The weekly student's Min-yan at Schara Tzedeck synagogue made an auspicious start last Saturday morning, as 32 high school and university stu-
dents gathered and conducted the entire service, including reading of the Torah and chanting of the Haftorah.
The students, under leadership of D a n n y Steinberg,
evinced enthusiasm over the large turnout, and expressed the hope that more high school and university students, both boys and girls, will take an active part in this new program.
It is the desire of the group of students to become more familiar with Jewish liturgy and tradition through active self-participation.
The student's service this coming Saturday will begin at 9:30 a.m. in the chapel of Schara Tzedeck synagogue. The weekly talk will be given by Ilene-Jo Greenberg, and the service will then conclude with a Kiddush hosted by the synagogue.
