When we send money to Israel we are helping to keep Canada's best eustomer in the Middle East. Mistadrut readies opening campaign banquet Feb. 6

BONN — Provisional agreement was made at a meeting between representatives of various organizations of victims of Nazism, including Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany, and West Germany's Minister of Finance, Dr. Rolf Dahlgruen, to divide indemnification claims into two categories: priority and non-priority.
Under the agreement, priority payments in 1966 will be made, without cuts or deferments, to claimants who are 65 years or over; claims for medical treatments; and victims of Nazism entitled to pensions or annunities.
Post-1953 claimants were placed by Dr. Dahlgruen in the non-priority category and will be eligible in 1966 to a flat pajmient of $1,225 each, plus a 40 percent payment of their total individual claims.

During the Second World War, Dr. Goodman servad in the Canadian army, spending time in the Middle East, visiting Palestine and acquainting himself first hand with the pre-state Jewish society in Palestine. He married in Palestine where his wife wzi-, a member of a kibbutz after being brought to the country by Youth Aliyah.
Dr. Goodmgn is first vice-president of the Zionist Organization of Canada (B.C.). He is also chairman of the Joint Adult Education Committee of Vancouver, is keenly interested in activities of Habonim as well as chairman of Vancouver branch of the Keren Hatarbut.
