Snnny setting at Bond fashion festival
Cacti and crowds of luscious crepe flowers such as Israel's deserts would like to bring forth, contributed a sunny Negev-and-Mediterranean setting to the eighth annual Israel Bond Organization Fashion Festival which was presented as an exclusive treat to some 250 Bond purchasers and Bond saleswomen on Jan. 11 at the Vancouver hotel ballroom.

rael Collection which evidenced purity of line and an often sculptured elegance that has come to be associated with the art of haut couture.
A space-age setting replaced the customary elongated ramp. The models descended at centre stage to audience level and madr their way through the audience to three widely-spaced sunny round platform-pods. But what v/as gained in refreshment with a sense of intimate fashion-in-the-rctmd, was offset by the loss of lighting and sufficient opportunity to observe the fabric, cut and overall design.
Furs again this year provided the highest element of fashion interest. Neulander offered a brown Russian broadtail sleeveless suit with pleated skirt as well as a dazzling black broadtail cocktail dress and coat. Stefan Braun's black broadtail siiit with Avhite mink turtle neck dickey and hat, was high on many woman's wanted list during the showing.
The Itmcheon opened with invocation by advisory board ^ember, Mrs. Jack W. Cohen. Women's Division chairman, Mrs. Samuel Gold presented a scroll of honor for the devoted efforts of luncheon chairman, Mrs. Earl Kliffer.
