HISTORY will be probed and analyzed by one of the world's outstanding contemporary intellectuals when Dr. Gerson D. Cohen presents the Jewish Adult Education Committee lecture this Wednesday, 8:30 p.m. at the Centre auditorium. All members and supporters of the doaten or more Ccanmunity organizations that comprise JAEC have been urged to bring their teenage youngsters along. All students are admitted without charge. Dr. Cohen is assistant professor of history at Columbia Universi^ and the author of many distinguished volumes and articles.
Temple Shalom marks fh-st Bar-Mitzvah
Darrel Mendelsohn, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mendelsohn^ will read a portion of the Torah on the occasion of his Bar-Mitzvah on Saturday morning, Feb. 5, at 10:30 a.m. The cccasion will mark the first Bar-Mitzvah at Temple Shalom, and will be held in the sanctuary at the Unitarian Centre, 49th and Oak.
Rabbi Gerry Steinberg will conduct the service and Rabbi Raphael Levine, Senior Rabbi of Seattle's Temple de Hirsch, will also participate.
The entire Congregation Temple Shalom are being invited to attend the services as well as all interested friends Kiddush will follow.
Regular Friday evening services at Temple Shalom commencr 8 p.m. at the Unitarian Centre Rabbi Steinberg will officiate.
