Nat Bent has been appointed by the District of C'oquitlam Municipal council as Recreation Program Supervisor for Coquit-1am Inter-Municipal Recreation department which serves the If cities of Port Moody, Port Co-quitlam, as well as the District of Coquitlam. A graduate of U.B.C. with a bachelor of physical education degree majoring in recreation; he is the son of Mrs. Sam Rittberg.
His prbfessicnal experience includes a wide and varied background in both private and public recreation fields. Among the various agencies in Vancouver

I that he has worked for are Parks Board, Y.W.C.A., Gordon Neighbourhood House and the Jewish [Community Centre.
Mr. Bent served as administra-^tlve assistant to the director of [the Centre in 1962. He was co-lordinator of the dedication pro-[gram for the New Centre at that time as well as staff member assigned to the commitee responsible for furnishing and equipping the building. He was a Cen-Itre teen worker in 1963,
Mr. Bent held the post of as-Isistant director of Camp Ben-Ibow of the Seattle Jewish Com-lunity Centres for four succes-Isive years. He also directed Camp IB'nai B'rlth, Edmonton, Alberta, lin 1965. Concurrent with his tuii-jversity studies in 1964-65, he took [his field replacement work in re-I creation with the Zionist Or-Iganization of British Columbia. January, 1965, he directed a Touth Leadership Conference on Ithe Jewish National Fund.
.Mr. Bent was also volunteer {advisor and member of the BBYO )-ordinating Council here.
SAM ROTHSTEIN . . . Life Membership Award
Vancouver Lodge will celebrate its 57th annual installation of officers at a banquet to be held on Sunday, June 19, at the Centre, 6:30 p.m.
Norman Loomer and William Wolfman, both past presidents of the lodge, will act as installing officers. One of the many highlights Of the evening will be an address by Dr. Stanley Cooper-man, professor at Simon Fraser University.
Special presentations will be made to members of the lodge who have reached the 25-year membership level in B'nai B'rith Some of those included in this select group are David Chertkow, David Morganstern, Nathan Singer, and Max Vernon.

Rain or shine — the Centre's Third Annual Family Outing will go on as scheduled on Sunday, June 26.
This year's outing is being held at Potlach on Howe Sound. Cruise boat leaves the Gore Street dock at 9:45 a,m. and returns to the city at 7 p.m. The picnic site is a 133-acre campsite of natural woodland and has facilities for swimming, hiking and fishing.
Indications are that this year's outipg will be the "best yet". An afternoon of races, contests, games and prizes has been arranged by the picnic committee. Families are asked to bring their own picnic lunch but coffee, pop and ice cream will be provided.
Tickets are now available at the Centre office but space is limited to 250 people.

Appointed as Expo 67 representative to the Jewish community of British Colimibia, Council has offered the special pre-purchase sale of Expo tickets, at considerable savings, as a special fund-raising project to all interested organizations.
