Beged Or, based in the immigrant development town of Mig-dal Ha'Emek, is the most celebrated cf Israel's leather-wear companies. In 1964, it joined the select of Israeli industries whose export figures are high enough to set them in the first rank as "outstanding exporters". Beged Or designs, worked out in carefully selected imported leathers, include men's and women's leather coats, leather slacks, dresses and suits in a rainbow of colors; all of them have won high acclaim in fashion stores throughout the world.
Staging of the Fashion Show is once again in the capable hands of Eaton's, under direction of Mrs. Barbara Winkler, special events co-ordinator.
As an added feature, courtesy of Air France, a trip for two from Montreal to Paris will be offered those in attendance.
Admission to the event is based on the purchase of a minimum of $100 per person of State of Israel Bonds during the current campaign.

Beth Israel Sisterhood has scheduled a most significant program for their Dec. j21 luiicheon meeting —- a dialogue entitled "UNITY IN DIVERSITY",-in which Rabbi Wilfred Solomon and Rev. James Roberts, Pastor of Our Lady of Mercy parish in Burnaby, will examine some of the common grounds of attitudes and understanding in Judaism and Christianity, concerning many of the ethical and moral problems facing the world today.
Father Roberts is a well-known personality in the Vancouver community for his many T.Vi and public appearances and, as Chairman of Christian Unity for the Roman Catholic Archdiocese in Vancouver, is most qualified to relate the new Ecumenical niove-ment which recognizes a new openness to all the great living religions of mankind and to the preservation of the values that are essential to the human spirit.

Tft^ dean, pUeH^U:
Debby Izen, our Women's Division chairman tells me that excitement is really climbing and that plans for our Israel Bond Dinner Dance are almost complete. It seems as though everyone wants a chance to go to Paris on the Air France Door Prize and see the Eiffel Tower. One of the lucky couples will go after the Ball on January TOth.
Because admission to the Ball is based on the purchase of State of Israel Bonds, I would like to urge everyone who has not yet made their Bond purchase to do so immediately.
I can only repeat that our community's response has so far been magnificent. I would like to report at the end of the campaign that, Vancouver really has an Israel Bond in every Jewish home. Won't you please call the Bond Office immediately and ask that your name is added to the growing list of purchasers.
Won't you be a part of the living land of Eretz Israel?
