The second week of the Centre's Day Cainp and Summer Adventure program is now reaching completion. Enrollment is higher than fanticipated and staff is preparing .to handle an even bigger camp in Second Period. Registra-tioh may well be closed before Period 2 opens on July 22, especially if the weather continues hot and, humid. The administration is-extremely pleased with the caliber of camp and the vis-: ible enthusisism shared by camp-, eis and coimsellDrs ailike, One hundred youngsters are now experiencing an active and exciting
program prepared especially for them.
Mot! Aharoni, the Centre's Swim Instructor, has arranged an excellent teaching program for the camp—^from paddlers to perforaiers--hqpefully they'll all be 'upped* at least one rung during the period.
Both groups visited Stanley iPark in the first week and in the second week Summer Adventure swung with the Lynn Canyon bridge, while the Day Camp filled Queen's Park playground. Indian Day at camp meant instant body paint, and all the jargon associated with pow-wow culture. A paper box totem pole was a theatrical success, although its tentative steaidiness was too intriguing to gllow it to stand fpr long. Pioneer day in week two carried its own fiavor-^Hobtr enanny, simplified square dance, covered wajgon and a camper's variety of ^ the pioneer attitude which alluded to our wild west past as well as to the current de-;teriiiihation otypuhg fe^ short, to review^ iand preyi^^ camp so far has been top'-rate^ and we expect second, period to
be the summer prograin's highlight. Avoid disappointment, and enroll early!

To insure that tweeners have a full outdoor experience^ an overnight is scheduled on the last week of the three week session to Alouette Lake. Some of the programs; for second week include a trip to Lynn Valley, and a cookout at University Beach.
Tween Time is staffed by' Bob Rosen, who worked with the tween group this winter, and assisted by Anita Koffman, a VetT ieran of several years of Day Camping, who 'is studying to be a teacher. '
