UNIQUE HILLEL PRODUCTION
A MULTI-MEDIA EXPERIENCE is in store for all in the community who attend the Hillel production sM^heduled to take place at the Centre auditorium on Saturday, March 15, 8:15 p.m. It has been co-written by Jerry Adler, presently a fourth year arts student at U.B.C. majoringr in political sicience, a member of the Z.B.T. fraternity, and formerly active in both Young Judaea and A.Z.A., together with Jeffrey Goldberg, presently a first year commerce student, active for the past three years in the Z.B.T. fraternity, having held position of social chairman and presently formal chairman. Ths writers will, as well, be featured players and are seen above working on the, presentation. Both have had experience and have written numerous sketches and short plays for Z.B.T. Director is Uene-Jo Greenberg. Tickets, which are moving rapidly, may be purchased by phoning Mrs. W. Omstein at Hillel House, 224-4748 or 733-7817. Tickets may also be purchased at the Centre.
Furitti Masgueradfe celebrates haliday
Peretz school Purim Masquer-aed Ball on March 1 was reported a huge success due to the efforts of committees set up under the excellent direction of convener, Mrs. H. Berson. Each committee had "its own thing" to do and* each did it well.
Fanny (Baba) Osipov and her assistants prepared a tantalizing buffet dinner with a large variety of Asiatie :F6Virish-fbods. De^cbr-^ ating committee with Harold Berson and D, Kirman, unified talents to produce a setting conducive to an enjoyable evening,
Mrs. D. Skulskl attired as a lady elephant won prize for best ladies^ costume and Soli Jackson dressed as Haman whose lot it was to carry a "peace sign", won the prize for best men's costume.
Purim comes but once a year but enjoyment engendered by the evening will remain for a long time.

JEWISH STUDENTS AT U.B.C., Simon Eraser, and Vancouver City Colle^re will be approached during- the coming week on behalf of the United Jewish Appeal. Rhonda Nis:on and Ted Zacks will be co-chairmen of the drive. They and their committee have set as the primary objective the education of the students on the current problems with which U.J.A. must cope. This is in keeping- with the overall U.J.A. theme: "Israel 1969—Crisis and Survival". A film will be shown on U.B.C. campus next week for all interested. Mr. and Mrs. J. Lewin, 6878 Laurel St., will open their home for the Pioneer Women Kadima club, 'I Am For Israel' Tea which will be held this Wednesday, March 12, 2 to 5 p.m.
Mesdames O. Neuwirth and I. Fraeme, conveners, this week extended a warm invitation to the ladies of the Commimity to attend this event.
"I Am For Israel," they pointed out, "is our way of expressing solidarity with Israel and supporting Pioneer Women's work with children, youth and women there."
