Schoro Tzedeck takes sfep ahead in religious school
By USHER HAMMER
Schara Tzedeck Religious School does it again. The school will greet students this Sunday, Sept. 7, with a better staff and more facilities than ever before. This year the school has continued , the tradition of past boards of education, which is "Let's make a good school better."
Since the essence of any school is the staff, that is the proud highlight of Schara Tzedeck Religious School this year. Not only does the school feature such distinguished religious educators as J. Youngson, principal and B, Leibo^itz, as Bar-Mitzvah instructor, but also Mrs. A. Harel and J. P. Gur, as teachers.
In the quest to fulfill the tradition of the board of education, the executive conunittee of the synagogue has consented to the addition to the school of three religiously committed teachers. They are Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Epstein, who have an extensive knowledge of Judaic education, and Moshe^fL.eibowitz who brings to the scLyOl a background of living Judaism. If the staff is any indicator of the quality of the school, this will be the finest learning year ever.
While the synagogue has been searching for top teaching talent, they' also have been adding more facilities to the school. More tackboard space has been (ordered for every classroom so every child can display his work. More blackboard space is contemplated to increase the learning of each student. More films and film-strips are being purchased to help present a meaningful Jewish education.
However, as good as these improvements are, the board of education and the executive committee have a problem. How can they make the school even better next year?
