W.D. ISRAEL BONDS SLAUS GALA WNCHiON ON SEPT. 16
Lou'Mason, himiorist and sing-:^r, star of night clubs, radio and television, will entertain at the buffet luncheon Sept. 16, being convened by Women's Division Of the Vancouver Israel Bond drive.
Jewish women's organizations in the city have combined their talents to make a gala occasion of the Buffet luncheon, which will be held at Richmond Goun= try Club, 12 noon.
Guest star Lou Mason will entertain with songs and stories. The committee, consisting of Mesdames V. Dewitt, J. Kettle-man, C. Margolis, H. Neuman, J. Rittberg and R. Nacht, told The Bulletin that they hope every Jewish woman in the community will join them and show their solidarity with Israel.
Chairman, Mrs. Harry Cramer, states that any woman who has not received an invitation and any newcomers to Vancouver who are not yet on the community list, should call 266-7210 and a personal invitation will be promptly issued. Transportation will also be arranged for those who need it, by calling 266-7210 and leaving names and addresses.

Temple Sholom will hold services tonight, Friday, Sept. 11, 8.15 p.m. in the Unitarian Centre, 49th and Oak. An Oneg Shabbat v/ill be hosted by members of the September ^isterhobd circle.
Rabbi Harold Rubens, Arthur Guttman and Mrs. H. Pollack, regional secretary, will attend a special .Con^eg^tional r e g i o n meeting in Seattle on Sept. 12. A report by, Rabbi Joseph Glazer, regional director, who has recently returned from a year in Israel, will highlight the program, which also includes plans and discussions about region activities.
The first general Sisterhood meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. C. Leonoff, 6926 Tisdall, on Wednesday, Sept. 16, 8:15 p.m. Dr. Stanley Blank will explain the new concept for the Religious School.
The Sisterhood membership party will be ait the home of Mrs. A. Beckow, 4715 Drummond Jr., Wednesday, Sept. 23. Mrs. t, Levine of Seattle will present unique art program and all Sisterhood members, their guests, friends and prospective members ire being welcomed^.

'Musical extravaganza' set at Centre, Sept. 27
The Centre will hold a musical extravaganza on Sunday, Sept. 27, 8:30 p.m., in the Centre auditorium. This evening is planned with the hope of raising $2,200 to-v/ards the purchase of new stage curtains and lighting. Groups to perform include: Jewish Community Choir Octet, under direction of Mrs. Elizabeth Wolak; Claire Osipov, accompanied by Forbes Henricks; a sketch by Hadassah; Habonim Dancers; a film made by J.C.C. Film Workshop entitled "Zorba, The Boot," narration by Gale Hammer and Ronnie Finestone. Tickets are now available at the Centre office.

Forty. members and guests were present at B*nai B'rith Women Centennial 1022's "Queen Esther Ball" Kickoff, held at the home of Mrs. A. Crane, on Aug. 26.
A Bar-B-Q, Hawaiian - luau style, was prepared by Ball convenor, Mrs. A. Crane; co-convenor, Mrs. D. Tobin and food chairman, Mrs. K. Landsberger.
The "B'nai B'rith Bombers" received a standing ovation for their performance in the skit dealing with every aspect of the EalL The skit, written by Mesdames N. Chess and E. Froh-linger, included a field cast of Mesdames: G. Hoffman, D. Tobin, S. Levitt, A. Lotzkar and N. Chess. Commentator was Mrs. E. Frohlinger and cheerleaders were Mesdames D. Coblin and M Brisker. A special accolade was given to the one-piece band, pianist Mrs. H. Stern. S.F.
