Saturday morning services tomorrow, March 4 at Schara Tzedeck synagogue will bemarkecl by the Bar-Mitzvah of Larry Aaron, son of Mr.andMrs.Morley Shafron. The celebrant, a student of Vancouver Talmud Torah, will read from the Torah, chant the Haftorah and Maftir, and appropriate blessings.
Rabbi Marvin Hier will officiate and preach the sermon. Cantor Moshe Preis will chant the liturgical music with Rev. Wm. Shuster reading from the Torah.
Regular sunset kabbalat Shabbat service tonight, Friday, March 3 begin 5:40 p.m. with candle-lighting, time' 5:39 p.m. Mincha-maariv services for week beginning March 4 start 5:45 p.m.
Services Saturday morning are 9 a.m. Rabbi Hier will conduct a class for young people after luncheon. Class in Tractate Bava Metzia of the Babylonian Talmud meets Monday, 7 p.m. while Tenach class meets every second Thursday, 8 p.m. An Oneg Shabbat for Jr. N.C.S.Y.
is held every Saturday afternoon from 3 to 4 p.m. S. T. Religious School Junior Congregation meets regularly Saturdays, 10:15 a.m. in the chapel, under the direction of principal Aaron Breitbart. Luncheon follows services.

NEW YORK - If all goes as scheduled, a 24-year-old Cleveland woman will be ordained next June under Reform auspices as the first female rabbi in Jewish history but it now appears there may be more such women rabbis.
Sally Preisand is completihg her rabbinical studies at the Cincinnati branch of the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion, the Reform seminary.
Another woman studying to be a rabbi is Michal Seserman, who enrolled last fall at the New York branch of the seminai-y. Moreover, Miss Seserman has asserted, "several" girls enrolled last fall at the Reconstructionist seminary in Philadelphia.

One, she reported, was that the outlook of Jewish religious institutions has ''changed dramatically" on the idea of accepting women candidates for the rabbinate. The other, she declared, is that the Jewish population, particularly Jewish youth ''is ex-periendng a new interest in Judaism."
Outlining her views in a recent issue of Keepirig Posted, a publication of the Union of American Hebrew Congregations, the central agency for Reform congregations. Miss Seserman' declared she had chosen Reforih Judaism for aper^ sonal religious outlook because "in Reform Judaism there is the most freedom fpr expression — especially for a woman." ,
She' asserted that women "regularly have been given aliyot to the Torah on Shabbat and they have taken an active part in the services for years" in Reform services "without being thought of a'women's libbers."'
