Richmond-Delta Jewish Community Association president Stuart Levitt told The Bulletin this week that seat sales for the Association's "modern yet traditional" High Holiday services are "very heartening and we expect a sell out."
The services will be held at Richmond's Airport Inn with Rabbi Leonard Oberstein officiating and Leon Wenger leading the prayers as Cantor.
Mr. Levitt said that last year some 80 persons attended the services and this year a congregation of about 100 is beinig anticipated.
Information on*the availability of seats is available from Moshe Fidelmaji, 274-2577, or Mr. Levitt, 277-6132.
Spokesmen said that the services will emphasize a great deal of responsive reading in English as well as participation by the congregants. Honors in opening and closing the Ark will be given to many individuals who have never before had this privilege.
Additional features in this year's High Holiday services will include; traditional Friday evening family services; an Oneg Shabbat; a communal break-the-fast following Yom Kippur services; a free baby-sitting service on the premises.
