Urges support for Memorial
Dear Mr. Kaplan:
1 don't understand the mentality of those who oppose the creation of a Memorial Monument in Vancouver to the Six Million Kdaishim.
We should be very thankful to Rabbi and Mrs. Marvin Hier for their effort and God-given courage to visit all the heart breaking places.

Dear Mr. Kaplan:
The Nov. 29 edition of The Bulletin carried an article on Vancouver Jewry written by Warren Freedman in his Jews Round the World column. He was evidently in Vancouver for a very short time and wrote his views.
I have been a resident of Vancouver for over 30 years and have, never heard Oak street referred to as "Jerusalem street." From 41st avenue to 54th avenue there are five churches and two nursing homes, not Jewish. What shall he call that section of Oak street?
Mr. Freedman lives in New York. Go home and sort your facts out correctly. NAME WITHHELD BY REQUEST.
BONN TO IRUSSELS
, JERUSALEM - Eliashiv Ben-Horin, 53, formerly Israel's Ambassador to West Germany, formally succeeded Moshe Alon as Israel Ambassador to Belgium.
We should not hesitate and have monuments in all the cities. We are all bereaved by losing our relatives and friends in the Holocaust. We can't all go to Israel.
We need a Shrine or a Cenotaph with their names inscribed. We should be able to pay respect to them there.
Now is the time to do it before we will depart. This and future generations will never bother and all will be forgotten. The ones who are against should be thankful to God for sparing their lives and pay respect to those who are gone.
I pledge $50 to begin. I hope many others will follow.

Dear Mr. Kaplan:
MANKIND IN COLOR
You are colored, I am white
Thafs no reason we should fight.
If the Good Lord made us what we are
Who are we to raise a bar
'Cause bars and gates just aggravate
And narrow minds intimidate.
The good earth was here before we came
To divide we have no rightful claim.
The sun-sweetened land is ours to share
The darkened clouds will not us scare.
While joy. and trials may be our fate
They'll test our will to co-operate.
We'll fight pollution of mind and matter
And thoughts of war we'll strive to shatter.
We'll use the strong to help the weak
And the timid have a chance to speak.
No longer we'll see our color, for then,
Yes then. All we'U see is "MEN".

1973 and at other times, and the annexation by Jordan of territories in Palestine designated as Arab by the U.N. resolutions, we do not consider that Israel is now bound either by the form of ■ statehood or the territorial division laid down in the resolutions in question. Rather, we consider that Israel must have secure as well as recognized borders, in accordance with Resolution 242 of the Security Council, November 22, 1967.
We urge the Israeli authorities to continue to play their part in the negotiated implementation of Resolution 242 by making withdrawals from occupied Arab territory in exchange for progress towards recognition of her own final borders.
We accordingly also support the recognition by Canada of an eventual Palestinian state arising from the full and impartial implementation of Resolution 242.
We regard the recent resolution of the General Assembly, recognizing the Palestine Liberation

Organization as a legitimate claimant to the territory of Israel, a member state of the U.N., as illegal, null and void, and a threat to peace. We hope for the emergence of legitimate representatives of the Palestiriian people with whom it would be possible for Israel to negotiate on the setting up of an independent Palestinian state.
We do not regard ownership of the land on which Christian holy places are situated as a legitimate Christian concern, provided that freedom of access to pilgrims and worshippers is assured, as under the present Israeli administration. We therefore consider that Christians have no specific interest in the form which the future of Jerusalem should take. In our view, this is solely a matter for free negotiation between the parties directly concerned.
We call on all parties in the Middle East to renounce the further use of force in the settlement of the differences between them, to enter into genuine negotiations aimed at mutual recognition and neighborly relations in the Holy Land, sacred
Gov't backs Panther plan
JERUSALEM — Israel's Black Panthers have won at least tentative government support for a youth village, which they want to sponsor, for delinquents and youths who have fallen foul of the law.
The idea was presented by the Panthers at a meeting with Shlomo Hillel, the police minister, who is chairman of the newly established ministerial committee for social betterment.
They suggested to Hillel that the village should provide schooling and vocational training for the teenagers who would live there. When they had completed flieir training courses, they would return to their home towns to serve as youth counsellors.

We pledge ourselves to work towards the acceptance and implementatim of these principles, and we call on members of all Christian churches in Canada to do the same."
