Habonim is also planning a Neshev March 16 in memory of Mr. Checov. It will be a major cultural presentation at B.I. auditorium based on the theme of Aliyah. Tickets go on sale this week. . . Order forms are available now at all synagogues for Kosher for Passover dairy foods. Deadline is March 4, Kinderlach, that's next Tuesday and anyone who doesn't order in advance is out of luck . . . Mayor Art Phillips told the crowd that the last time he was at Schara Tzedeck was fortheGoren Testimonial Dinner which he recalled as "a beautiful, fantastic night," adding that the Chief Rabbi himself was both a remarkable man and a memorable one. . . His standup patter continued as His Worship pointed out that Mr. Justice Branca and Murray Goldman had come up with a new joint hymn, "Oi Vey Maria". . . and finally brought the house down by repeating his earlier quip from the Goren event that Alderman Harry Rankin " is sometimes Jewish."
