Sam Rabinovitch, of the Louis Brier Home, passed away at Shaughnessy hospital, on Feb. 15. He was 92 years of age.
Mr. Rabinovitch immigrated to Canada, from Russia in 1905 and settled on a homestead in the Lipton Jewish Colony in Saskatchewan. He was married in 1914 to Vera Zaitzow and he and his family resided in Ituna and Regina, Saskatchewan until 1945, when diey moved to Vancouver.

Mr. Rabinovitch was a member of Beth Israel synagogue and active in many city Jewish organizations. He was a founding member of the Louis Brier Home.
Predeceased by his"^ wife in February, 1976;'he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Sam (Bertha) Karby of. Vancouver, Mrs. Sidney (Clarice) Buckwold of Saskatoon, Mrs. Paul (Anne) Kligman of Toronto; two sisters, Anne Shedlarz of Seattle and Ruth Fridell of Winnipeg; one brother, Harry Rabinovitch of Seattle; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services took place Feb. 17 at Schara Tzedeck chapel widi Rabbi Paul Plotkin and Cantor Murray Nixon officiating. Interment followed at Beth Israel cemetery. .Chevra Kadisha was in charjge bif arrangements.
Pallbearers were Irving Zait-zp^, Michael Zaitzow, Howard Karby, David Rabinovitch, Ian Rabinovitch, Lionel Serebrin. Honorary pallbearers were Tom Baillie, David Wolochow, Bernard Victor, H. Field.

Stan Lenga, a resident of Van-; couver for 26.years, passed away on Feb. 23. He was 60 years of age.
. Born and educated in Poland, Mr. Lenga was a survivor of the World War Two concentration camps. He marriied on August 10, 1944.
Predeased by his parents, a brother and sisters, he is survived by his wife, Paula; a brother, Joe Lenga, Kitchener, Ontario; three nephews and three nieces;
Funeral services were held Feb. 24 at Beth'Israel chapel with Rabbi P. Plotkin and Cantor M. Nixon officiating. Interment followed at Beth Israel cemetery. Chevra Kadisha was in charge^ of arrangements.

TEL AVIV — A computerized traffic-light system will.go into q>eration in Tel Aviv in June, using closed-circuit television to control flow of vehicles. Deputy Mayor David Shifman announced.
"Aliyah through the Ages" will be highlighted Mrach 12 and 13 when Habonim presents its third annual 'Neshef production.
A cast of over 100 Habonim members from Vancouver and Victoria will perform eight separate scenes and seven dances ranging from modern jazz to trad-. itional Israeli. Additionally there will be slides and numerous selections performed by the Habonim Philharmonic.
The shows; at the Jewish Community Centre, commence at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 12 and at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday March 13. Spokesmen noted that a full house and a demand for a second performance last year indicated the need for a second show this year.
The over 100 performers are all aged 9 to 19; as are the directing and production teams. The cast has been rehearsing continuously ievery Sunday from the first weekend in January^. This coming weekend, the group will put the finishing touches on what spfricesmen stated promises to be a "most spectacular production." : They added: "The collaboration of talents in the past three years haye produced three excellent 5hows> biit this year's we feel, will proye to be the best so far."
