The Sabbath will be ushered in by Beth Tikvah Congregation and Centre Association this Friday, Sept. 14, 8 p.m. at the synagogue, 9711 Geal road, Richmond. Sheryl Joy, daughter of Abe and Doreen Grossman, will be called forward as a Bat-Mitzvah at this service.
The parents of the celebrant will sponsor the Oneg Shabbat in her honor.
Services will be held on Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m. Worship will be conducted both days by Rabbi Howard Siegel.
Classes are now in session for Hebrew School, grades one to seven, and registration is still being taken for the kindergarten class.

ANNOUNCE SCHARA TZEDECK SERVICES
Congregation Schara Tzedeck will usher in Shabbat Friday services on Sept. 14 at 7 p.m. in the main sanctuary, chanted by Rabbi Yussie Lieber. Candle-lighting time is 7:09 p.m.
Services Saturday morning begin at 9 a.m. with Rabbi Baruch Zaichyk officiating. Cantor Moshe Prds conducting the services and Rabbi Lieber reading the Torah. A congregational kiddush following the services will be tendered by Mr. and Mrs. George Biely.
At 6:15 p.m. Saturday, Rabbi Zaichyk will teach a class in Ein-Yacov. The shiur is open to all men, women and youth. Mincha is at 7:15 p.m; followed by Sholosh Seudos and Maariv. Reverend William Shuster will recite Havdallah at 8:15 p.m.
Selichot services, in preparation of the coming High Holidays, commence 12 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 15 with Rabbi Zaichyk officiating and Cantor Preis conducting the services. ,
Sunday morning services are at 8:30 a.m., followed by breakfast.. Rabbi Zaichyk will teach a class in "Pirkei Avot** (Ethics of our Father)' at this time.
Services during the week beginning Siept. 16 are at 7:30 a.m, and 7:15 p.m.^
Rabbi Zaichyk's . weekly men's Gemorah class will be held on Thursday at 8 p.m. in the Beis Medrash. This class is open to the public without charge.

On Saturday evening at 10:30 p.m., USY will present a slide presentation on Israel as well as a musical program. The Selichot service follows at midnight. New Selichot booklets by the Rabbinical Assembly will be used^, enabling the congregation to join in ancient and modern prayers which capture the mystical mood of this High Holy Day prelude, spokesnien stated.
Hazzan Nixori and the Beth Israel choir will present the musical-renditions unique to this service. The entire community is being invited to participate.
