Films, Selichot service at Hillel
RECENT REUNION of immediate family of Mr. and Mrs. George Moses of Vancouver saw mishopiia from throughout Canada and the U.S. gather here for several weeks of reminiscing and celebration. The couple have 21 children, 18 grandchUdren and eight great-grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. George Moses themselves count nearly 375 relatives currently residing in Israel.
Hillel House at UBC will screen five short films Saturday, Sept. 15,9 p.m. to inaugurate the new school term and precede the beginning of the High Holyday period.

Lion's Gate B.B. meeting Monday
All members, especially newer and prospective members, are being invited to Lion*s Gate B*nai BVith's first fall meeting to be held this Monday, Sept. 17, 8 p.m. at the Centre.
President Harry Baker will outline several new projects and delegates will report on the riecent district convention in Portland. Morris Coblin will present the annual budget for approval. Reports will be made by Alex Dimant on B.B. aid to Russian immigrants; Ted Goodson, on Haro Park Geriatric Centre; and Leo Lowy and Dave Jackson on the golf and bowling programs.
The evening will conclude with refreshments and a social.

Academy Award winning I'll Find A Way, Beluga Baby, Jews of Winnipeg and The Street, an animated film based on the memories of Mordecai Richler*s childhood. The fifth film, Tales of Rabbi Nachman, was made in Vancouver by SFU student Trevor Brazil.
Following the films, which will be accompanied by dessert, an informal and creative Selichot service will begin at midnight. This service ushers in the High Holyday season by setting a mood of introspection and awareness of Divine sovereignty.
The program is being hosted by the Hillel Steering committee which invites students, young working adults, faculty, and all interested people to attend.
In other Hillel programs, the *Shefa Vegetarian Restaurant' is open every Wednesday, 12:30 p.m. at Hillel. Beginners and Intermediate Hebrew classes plus an ongoing Holocaust Seminar take place Thursdays at 12:30 p.m. and informal lunch-hour discussions are held every Tuesday at 12:30 p.m.

Bridge classes resume at Centre
The Centre School of Bridge continues this fall under direction of Buddy Crapko, well-known bridge expert, life master and winner of numerous bridge championships in both Canada and U.S. He conducted a successful series of bridge lessons in the spring.
Based on an escalating teaching program, students will have the opportunity to progress sequentially as their skills develop. Classes are available for novices, advanced novices and intermediates.
Introductory orientation sessions will be held on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, Oct. 2, 3, 4. Interested persons may attend whichever of these sessions is most convenient to their schedules.
Classes begin on Tuesday, Oct. 9 (novice), Wednesday, Oct. 10 (advanced novice), and Thursday, Oct. 11 (intermediates) and will run ^ for eight - 2 1/2-hour sessions. Classes are limited to assure individualized instruction.

CENTRE TO OFFER GUITAR
The Centre will offer group guitar instruction commencing on Tuesday, Sept. 18, for beginners, and Thursday, Sept. 20, for intermediates.
Rachelle Mingail, guitar instructor, is a well-known singer who ably accompanies herself on the guitar and piano, spokesmen stated. She has performed widely in coffeehouses, lounges and on television throughout B.C. Her teaching experience includes a long stint with the Victoria Folklorie Centre, and at studios in the area.
Miss Mingail stresses playing the guitar for fun, pleasure and for learning songs. Her repertoire includes popular and Hebrew music, and her instructional sessions are geared to the needs and abilities of her students. Beginners will concentrate on basic chnrHg o- j strumming Styb- intermediates will extend their

Beginners will meet on Tuesdays as follows: ages 9-14 from 4:30-5:30 p.m.; ages 15 and up from 7:30-8:30 p.m. Intermediates will meet on Thursdays — ages 9-14 from 4:30-5:30 p.m., and ages 15 and up from 7:30-8:30 p.m.
